"The lord works in mysterious ways", this is one of those phrases i truely disgust, why?, because it's a poor attempt at validating something that cannot be proven, and its a dumb substitutions to things known to be real (the element of chance).
You just quoted me almost word for word on something i once said to my atc regiment's padre.. Ive only ever known one philospher come up with a compelling statement as to why anyone actually should believe in any god. Uhh. I cud attempt to explain it but I'd get most of it wrong because i heard it ages ago.

The worst for me is when people say "I could care less."

Do you even think about that sentence before you say it? How does it, in any way, convey what you are attempting to communicate?

Let's break it down:

"I could care less." That would indicate that you are not yet at minimum caring capacity, and I should therefore continue, on the basis that you still contain some care for the topic.

The saying is "I couldn't care less." Drill that into your brain and don't forget it.

------------------------

On a sidenote, I've recently noticed I have a disturbing tendency to say, "Worst-case scenario:" I have little doubt that my peers think this to be annoying. I'm making an effort, I promise.

"It's going to be alright." No it's not just going to be alright, shit like just doesn't POOF happen! I can't stand optimism when it lacks any form of foundation, it's so...unrealistic. Watching the world with the so-called 'pink sunglasses' is only making it going to hurt a lot more, and it's not going to really help anyway.

"Rose-coloured glasses," actually. If I'm not mistaken.

(but I do agree)
Rose Tinted glasses :p

When my school refers to the library are the OLC, the Open Learning Environment.

"If I were You..."

HATE THAT!

Mainly due to the fact people are oblivious and ignorant to my problems,
To a lesser extent; "Ya mom" < Do you reallly want a reason?

I hate it whenever you ask a question and they say "What?" and then answer it anyway. If you heard what I said why did you say What?!?

EDIT: I've also got a friend who says, "I'm not gunna lie" before every sentence. EVERY one! Gets on my nerves because it's so pointless.

The word, "Irregardless".
THIS. Because it ISN'T a word. If you break it apart it means "without without regard", which means...regard!?

I also go crazy when anyone speaks with so much slang they are practically unintelligible. Is it a requirement in California, because one of my friends moved there, and he seems to have lost the ability to speak in English.

To be honest, the word 'irk' usually annoys me. Most people I talk to who say 'irk' give a slight pause when they come to it and put so much emphasize on the word. It just makes me want to tell them "Good job reading the dictionary last night."
It doesn't bother me when I read it or if a person says it in a fluid motion with other words, though.
So the word irks you.

(I don't care if someone has done it before. IT MADE ME FEEL CLEVER.)

Using the phrase "Im laughing out loud" in normal speech.

Not "lol", he actually said "Im laughing out loud" after i said something that he found funny.

I did terrible things to him.
