I tend to apply the word 'literally' to my sentences far too often. It literally drives my brother insane.

That's especially fun if you say literally, when you really [small](there's that word again)[/small] mean figuratively.
"I literally worked my ass off"
Things like that.
EDIT: Btw, are you really [small](*sigh*)[/small] driving him insane? That can't be good.

Thus.
I use it in nearly every bit of writing I do and thus people think I am a pretentious dick...

I have two. "Epic" and "Awesome". I really need to buy a thesaurus or at least be a bit more creative before writing or speaking. I even notice it but there's not much I can do.

Though, just, really, quite, and quite a few other technically useless flourishes.

I try not to use them twice in the same paragraph, but other than that I'm quite (there goes another one) resigned to the fact that I won't get rid of them any time soon.

'Well' and 'Ass'
(Not 'ass' as in the English word. It's a Norwegian word)

I have a bad habit of saying "Do you mind!" when someone does something that inconveniences me. The greatest frustration comes from those who get used to this and start taking the rhetoric literally.

I say the phrase "Know what I mean" or "Know what I'm saying" all the time. I think it is because when i talk to people about something I am interested in I am looking for feedback from them.

I really misuse really. I take care to edit my posts to remove most really, but instictively I really overuse really.

If an author is using the word "so" a lot, perhaps he or she's not a very good author.

Looking at an email that i would sent today, i found that i kept on using the word "interesting" or "off interest" repeatedly...sometimes a certain word is too convenient in saying that you may be interested in something...
