Do you own any, and if so, tell us about your experiences.

I'm too poor atm to get Wii Fit and I'm not sure I want it anymore, because last week I picked up for $30 Wii My Fitness Coach. Now, it isn't actually a "game" so much as a tailored fitness class.

All you need is your wii controller and honesty. Every three days you put into the system things like weight, measurements and results of short fitness evaluations.

When you decide to work out you choose duration (in 15 min increments), focus (eg. flexibility, upper, lower, core, yoga, cardio), location and music. You even have the option to add hand weights, an exercise ball, a stepper and or a heart rate monitor. These are added to the workout. Right now I only own 3kg hand weights. I've taken to working out at least an hour a day, I even did a total of 2.5hrs two days ago.

I am by nature LAZY when it comes to fitness. Prior to this I'd never attended an aerobics class and haven't been to a gym in a long time, however, I oddly find this enjoyable and will take up another workout straight after I've finished one. In less than a week I am already experiencing toning and my fitness has dramatically increased. I've even taken to wearing 1.15kg ankle weights, just so I can get an extra workout.

I am just so impressed with this "game" and implore anyone considering a workout DVD to get this instead for that personal experience.

I own a Wii Fit and to be perfectly honest, it never gets used. The only time I take it out of the box is when I have some of my younger relations visiting, and even then, it's never used by the older members of my family. I haven't tried the Fitness Coach game you mentioned, but i'm pretty sure I would never get round to using that either. I don't have the willpower to lose weight.

Nope, I work out at the gym a hell of alot. So I wouldn't want to come home and do it again.

I don't count those as games.
But my step-mum has Wii fit, if that counts.

MFC was pretty good if dull, came in handy when I was working odd hours that meant I couldn't get to the gym. Really came into it's own this summer too (NHS botched my operation and I was in hospital for about 2 months, was a good way of easing back into activity afterwards).

Wii Fit's pointless though IMO.

I don't need a video game to exercise, unless Nintendo or whoever can come up for a way for a game to spot me. That would be pretty cool.

Yaaaah...not actually fun. I do swim at the local pool, which is also free ^_-
I find both those activities to be more fun than Wii games.

Work Out games?

Condemned, the amount of sweat that left my body must account for something!
Ill agree with that. Ive never been as breathing as heavily as I did during that game. However my mum got Wii Fit. Its so insulting though. Its like spending 60 odd pounds on your own Bully.

Does DDR count? I went through a breif period of playing that and It's pretty hella intense if you make the difficulty high enough.

Are you really so pathetic that you need a game to tell you to work out? Just get off your couch and run like you're chasing after all those friends you don't have because you aren't outside!

No fortunatly i don't own one. I like walking outside too much to buy a wii fit for a lot of money and i would probably break something in the house or break me if i tried one of those.

This isn't actually a game, though. It gives you your own aerobics or yoga class.
