theres been problems with certain customers at my store. back in november a man comes in and starts mumbling(mind you i have a hearing disability along with my aspergers) i ask him "i couldn't hear what you were saying. could you please repeat it?" he flips out over it and i tell him that i have a hearing disability. and he says its no excuse for saying the word what. he then demands to see the manager and tells her i was being a racist towards him(thats what she told me later when i got written up for it). he gets a $20 gift card and later on he comes back in with his daughter and she starts going off on how stupid i am for falling for that trap(?). he comes in again on black friday with a coupon that expired and my coworker who rung him up tells him we cant take it. he threatens her life over it. i call up our manager and she says she cant do anything about it because she didnt see it happen.. next we've got these 3 people who come in and do stuff that should get them banned from any store. they shove other customers, cut in line, insult my coworkers and demand discounts for everything. if anyone complains theyre labled anti semetic and say they have connections to the CEO and have us all fired. both me and my friend tried to tell corporate about this stuff(store manager wouldnt let him leave on a busy day despite the fact that he kept on throwing up) and they want out names, despite the fact that this stuff is supposed to be annonymous.

id like to switch jobs but theres none out there thatll hire me or pays as well(i make 8 an hour but still). so what am i supposed to do? i know the stuff these people are doing is illegial but i think if i complain ill lose my job and i need it to help my family.

I'd be making a complaint to the actual company in charge of the store. Sounds like the manager is a total lazy arse who doesn't look after her employers. If it was me, I'd have grabbed those guys and phyiscially tossed them out of the store and said "Do not enter my store ever again"

EDIT: Also talk to your manager about it. If she fires you for questioning it, then take it up with the department of trading and mention the unrightous leave from employment for questioning your manager over situations she's suppoed to handle by law.

ive been threatened for it. but also id like for it to not turn into the point where if i go to the labor board and get my boss fired and i go looking for another job and noone will hire me due to the fact that i could get them in trouble over stuff...

well if you don't say anything about it then nothing will be done.
I have similar cases (note I also suffer from Aspergous and a hole in my ear-drum on the right ear) at where I work where the Customer flipped out as one of the shoes he wanted was taken from the shelf.

I can understand that people don't want the shoes if that is the case. But we only have to do that if we do't have a fresh pair in the stock-room. At this time I'm calmly trying to tell him that we don't have a fresh pair but being arrogant he doesn't listen.

So he forcefully takes the newer display shoe (which was a size 10 and he wanted a size 8 mind you...) to the counter while calling me various curse words under the sun. A few seconds later a collogue who was at the till came over and got the display shoe (which is a size 8) with the customer in toe and calls me even more names, flips out and walks off before either of us could calmly explain what was going on.

We get plenty of shit thrown at us for things we can't control unfortunately. Is it really my fault I cannot locate the shoes you are looking for as they are out of stock? Is it really my fault that customers can't be bothered to place the shoes back in their respective places and so other customers think it's cheaper?

For one our Managers were not happy and banned the customer on the spot XD, as funny as it was it was kind of up-setting and they let me take a chill outside for ten minutes before resuming work.

If your manager is failing to handle these situations then something is most definitely wrong and you need to take it up with them. As an Employee of the shop you have a right not to be harassed in that manner and as the Manager, it's their job to make sure nothing like this happens.

But think of it this way. Do you want to be miserable with a good pay for the job and possibly be dull and miserable when you get home? Or would you prefer to be happier with slightly less pay but in a better mood?
I hope things work out for you friend ^_^ Keep smiling through it!
