I don't have a gym membership and wont be able to get one until December when I can get a job, and even then that's a maybe.

Stop eating. I'm serious. Eat maybe 1 meal a day, and you'll lose weight. (don't read that, I rescind my statement) Other than that, it's a life style thing. I had to carry my heavy backpack to all of my classes and up and down two flights of stairs for 7 years. I had to go down and up one flight of stairs to go to the bathroom or the fridge and down a second flight of stairs to our freezer. I did all that, so I'm about your height, but I weigh 150lbs.

If you don't care about muscles and just want to lose fat, then either biking or swimming is the best exercise. Running is bad for your knees when you do it for a long time.

Push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, running, walking, and you can buy some small weights to keep in a corner. Just remember to stretch before and after, never lay down after getting your blood pumping hard, and stay away from IHOP.

Hell, if you have the space you may as well buy a basic weight set. Unless you want to look like this guy, [http://wwe.mytopix.com/img/c/chris_masters-0.jpg] why risk rolling around in the sweat of random guys at a gym?

That's horrible advice! Doing that will throw your metabolism into chaos and your body will try to disown you.

Think of it this way, your body is a machine, it needs proper fuel. That sounds lame, but it doesn't make it any less true.
#1 Think about what you eat, instead of eating a hot pocket for lunch, go for some oatmeal and a banana.
#2 Drink more water, but watch out for water poisoning (I'm not kidding, too much water will throw your electrolytes out of whack and you could be seriously injured)
#3 Move more, this can be difficult in the colder months, but 50 sit ups a night can go a long way
#4 Don't worry so much about your eating habits during the weekends (still drink water and eat three meals, though) It might give you more incentive to be healthier in the week.

Personally, #4 doesn't work that well for me, but it does for a friend of mine.

and even with that wieght loss would it get rid of my man boobs ahah?

EDIT: i didnt see the post above me. thats also good stuff.

my thing is that my incentive is always short term >.< i need to fix that. I do go to school and such.

Well no idea is perfect for everyone and you're most likely right. Jenkins, listen to this person more than me.

That's not necessarily a good idea. It's best to eat small meals throughout the day, starting early with breakfast. Eating only once messes up your metabolism and causes your body to store the food you eat during that one meal as fat.

Or something like that. I'm not exactly a qualified physician.

Even more people think my idea is bad. That's probably a sign to not follow it. Wait until many people post responses and see what the most common one is and follow that.

I run up and down my stairs, its harder then it sounds if you non stop sprint. After a few days it got easier so now I carry weights with me while I do it and slowly up the weight over time.

That's how it went for me, except I was forced to do it.

Meat was usually dried out, not liquid.

Eating well is a good first step. Cut down on processed foods, saturated fats and increase your intake of fiber, omega 3s, etc.

Exercise regularly. Walking every day (over 30 minutes a day, ideally) is a good, slow start to ease you into things. But if you don't feel satisfied with that, head off to a gym and perhaps ask the staff for advice on what you should be doing, though seeing your doctor about a fitness routine first would probably be better.

But getting your eating habits sorted out is the most important thing, I think. You don't need to go on a 'diet' per se, just change things around. Diets/fads are quite pointless, not to mention incredibly demotivating when they don't work.

I guess the bottom line is everything in moderation. Use common sense when choosing what to eat, and remember to keep your fluids up. Around 2 litres (4 pints, I think) is a healthy amount. But ideally (IIRC), your urine should be very pale/nearly clear before you go to bed at night.

Depends. Any system takes different amounts of time for different people.

i'm a personal trainer, so here's a few pointers.

start off each morning with at least 20-30 grams of protein in the morning. eat 5 to 6 small meals a day. make your diet consists of 60% protein 20% fat 20% carbs. imagine your body as a fat burning furnace, if you feed a furnace only once a day the fire will go out. the continuing healthy feeding of it will keep it burning at full speed. you can take caffeine supplements to help with fat loss, along with green tea for the egcg. do cardio in the morning when your body burns fat faster, then lift or do isometric exercises(if not going to a gym) lifting/exercising in the afternoon keeps your metabolic rate up. ofcourse the most important is to create a calorie deficit, start by making the small changes at first, it will make a full transition in a healthy lifestyle much easier.
