Woo! This will be fun! I don't ever expect America to win a Cup (honestly, as a nation--we like our football and basketball and baseball too much) but it's fun when we qualify!

...although, I feel sort of bad for our soccer players because even if they do beat England, no one here will really talk about it.

Well, anyway! It should be fun!

And I want Australia to win against Germany.
Actually USA is starting to get a slight buzz for soccer again. I read all my friend's facebook statuses and they all go along the lines of "June 10, 2010, the second revolutionary war." I think the USA is gonna get pumped for this game. Odd, we start caring about soccer when it comes to nationality. lol.
Oh, awesome. I hadn't heard much about it where I'm at but maybe people will get pumped about it again. I mean, the US team has only played England one other time in the World Cup and the Americans pulled off a surprise win. So who knows! :D

Sadly as an American Soccer (football across the pond, I know) fan I sincerely hope that we do well. However, as an American, I hope we don't win the World Cup. Say what you want, but if we win it will be about a week of a slight rise in our interest of football. Then we will move on. I hope we don't win simply because it doesn't mean anything to our nation, which is sad but true. I just hope we do well, but I hope another country wins so that the winner is appreciated and celebrated like they should be. Everyone else thinks this is the greatest sporting event in the world. To us in the states, it's little more than a blip on our radar. Which is just a shame.
