World internet speeds!

I hear in seuol in korea they get speeds of up to 100Mb/s I would love to see proof of this though.

Guess what, i hate my provider since they do not allow for any increases in speed without sacrificing the 'unlimited' aspect of the plan. Which is still not unlimited, it just drops to about 56Kb/s instead after a 30 Gig limit. At least we don't pay more though.

If you watch the last episode of "The Gadget Show" they found a woman who gets 1000mb/s internet at her house.

100mb/s is one of the lowest speeds in Seuol due to the government upgrading the countries infrastructure in 1995, they did it to have the best broadband system in years to come, which worked.

After 6pm it bombs however, so I'll add that one in later. And the ISP is actually Sky.

Sky use Easynet's infrastructre.

No idea who they are, I just pay Sky for the internet, and know that by bitching at them, I got faster speeds for no extra price!

Any advice on what exactly to ***** about?? if you're those speeds for cheap I'd like to get a piece of the action!

Join BT and they will send you a free Iplate (Called the Bt accelerator), aparently it COULD increase your connection speed by 1.4..

Pending the above doesn't work then we'll look into that, but we'll hopefully be on the 20mb package anyway with BT.

I don't think it increases the speed of your internet provider, I think it actually increases the quality of the connection meaning your internet will be faster.
Most slow connections arnt caused by the provider not sending fast enough, it tends to be that the quality of the line means you physically can't do anything about it.
The iplate cuts back interferance which makes the speed you can receive higher.
I hope this makes sense...
