Convenient how Jaina, the chick who could have mass teleported troops/Varian or even handled a fel reaver without a heroic leap, is absent for the cinematic with no explanation. I guess making two ice bridges wore her out?
Can't cast portal while in combat :p

Did.. did they just have a random mook kill Vol'jin?

I'm really glad I quit this game. the writing is cringeworthy.

Also sorta annoying they keep team-rocketing their villains. Guldan is so annoying at this point he may as well get pikachu or something. Just let him die already and write some new material.

the leaders of the Horde were too dated, so they wanted to shake things up.
So they recycle the oldest most dated and at this point annoying villain, for like the 100th time.. that's laughable.

New Gul'dan is everyone's new favorite chacarter and the only compelling villain we had since Lich King.

Mass teleportation has been shown to be difficult, even for master mages like Khadgar. Even then, you only really ever see him do mass teleportation short distances. Jaina isn't some Mary Sue who can do everything.
Didn't she basically wave a hand and teleport the entire Alliance side out at the end of The Battle of Undercity when it looked like Varian, Thrall, and Sylvanas were going to go at it?

I only played it from the Horde side and, of course, it doesn't exist anymore, so I don't know where they were teleported to. I always assumed Stormwind, but dunno.

What's different about him?

Well, Warlords of Draenor takes place in an alternate timeline, and this is THAT timeline's Gul'Dan. Basically, instead of betraying the Legion, he's sticking with them and opening new Dark Portals. Like the guy said, he's the first Villain to get in our face and ruin stuff since the Lich King, and it's awesome. Plus he got a cool intro video, check it out;

Legion is Blizzard going all out to draw back fans with maximum drama and maximum fan service. (It worked on me).
I rather have that then waste my time with filler stuff like Pandaria and Warlods of Draenor (and this is coming from someonethat liked Pandaria)

I mean Cataclysm despite its flaws was the last xpac that felt llike it mattered.
