I like WoW, its a lot of fun and there is a ton of stuff to do. I actually like leveling, end game is borring to. My account ends in a month, after that i probably will never play it again. To many idiots play and just ruin the game, I have tried both Horde and Alliance, horde tends to be more mature, but with the expansion pack, and the introduction of Blood Elves it has gone down hill. It just gav every 12 year old ally kid an excuse to go horde...and they did. All in all it was fun while it lasted but im glad that i am closing my account for good. Maybe wrath of the lich king will bring me around. But for now i plan to focus on Warrhamer online.

IT NOW BELONGS TO DA ORCS!!!

Roar, I played WoW for the better half of my High School years, and only recently quit because I had basically "won the game". Many good times had I in Azeroth-- it is especially fun if you have a sizable group of good buddies who play often.

As for the community, which everyone seems to be complaining about, I honestly can't think of a better one (except for, perhaps, Lusternia's player base). Whenever you get interaction between characters in an online game there will be dickholes (see Halo, Guild Wars, Runescape...) -- at least WoW moderators are highly active in the game, and contrary to popular belief they DO take action when someone is being constantly harassed, or when some idiot is abusing the game in some way. And, if you're tired of that guy in Trade chat screaming nonsense, /ignore is a handy little command that people seem to refuse to acknowledge far too often.

It's not a game for everyone-- WoW requires a significant investment of time and has a rather steep learning curve. But as far as I'm concerned, it's the most well-designed MMO to date.

Forces you to be social, If I wanted to group up with 4, 9, 24, 39 (39 went away, yay) people and fight bosses that can be taken down with tactics and who refuses to look over to his left and start killing the people who keep healing his target. (RAWR YOU KEEP INSULTING MY MOTHER, YOU DIE FIRST, *bang* *bang* *bang* WHY WON'T YOU DIE?) But if it introduced a classic way of soloing to get almost as good as the uniform japanese squad that killed Illidan in 4 tries after 6 of them got back from the bathroom, along with the lack of fun minigames or something to keep you preoccupied while waiting the extra hour for everyone to show up, (dailies only go so far) However I still like the game and will continue to find groups to go kill bosses that hardly seem fair in terms of strength. Maybe if bosses could be player controlled?

I play WoW sometimes.
I play it on private servers.
The grind was far too much for me to get anywhere on retail WoW, but on private servers you can hit 70 in a day (or faster). There is no grind, groups are easy to find (What with about 100 level 70s needing raids) and it's usually alot more fun. I can play for 12 hours and actually get stuff DONE.

If you wanna get into Private servers, just google World of Warcraft Private Servers and pick the first link.
