No doubt Activision-Blizzard is abusing the fact that people get addicted by this sort of game and created WoW this way. I myself don't understand that, but obviously there are many victims out there. I'd, too, say it's addictive.
"Victims"?

That's topping my list of the most retarded things I've heard this week. Calling people who are, so called, "WoW-addicts" victims is like calling smokers victims.

The game in itself is not addictive, but people who have addictive personalities are still likely to find it that way. It's not about the games design, since any game can be addictive if you've got a personality that makes you likely of becoming addicted.

Uh... not quite WoW but I have forgotten to pick up my sister from work once because I was so engrossed in playing the piano... kind of a long song I got into. It's easy to do with anything, not just WoW, especially for those of us with addictive personalities
Playing the piano or playing somebody on the piano ;) Just joking
I was addicted to wow, but after wotlk it became clear to me they were going to have to add new shit to the lore and they r not going to change the Op class that comes with every expansion and the whole "i need to max lvl out" crap so i said screw it and went to play another mmo "warhammer" thats not addictive but fun i havent played for a week on warhammer but when i do i enjoy myself.
and ofc how do you kick a addiction without some TF2 and Left4dead :p

I disagree. WoW is meticulously engineered to grab people and make them commit to playing; even despite the inherent timesink of MMOs.
