As many of you WOW players will know, starting sometime last week, zombies started to spread accross world of warcraft, basically starting another whole faction, in clear preparation for the wrath of the lich king. What do you guys think about it? Personally, im finding it irritating more than anything, just minding my own business in Ironforge when the guy next to me turns into a zombie, next thing i know, im spending 2g to repair all my armour

Don't you see what it represents. That everyone that plays WoW has become a zombie to the game, they do not live anymore, but are part of a fictional world that sucks dry their very life! Blizzard is warning you!

It was fun the first time, joining a huge band of zombies, invading cities and stuff.
But indeed, you have to remove all your gear, unless you want to be paying a lot of repair costs.

But yeah, when you want to go questing, it is rather annoying.

It is absolutely brilliant.

WoW has been a game on rails for far too long. Gamers have been clamoring for the chance to enjoy this virtual world in ways that will actually affect and change it. The Zombie Invasion strikes a great balance in this regard. It is relatively easy to avoid if you don't want to participate; the effects are not terribly long lasting; and yet it adds a level of dynamism and chance that the game otherwise lacks.

As far as I'm concerned, the Zombie Invasion is a harbinger of what player-driven, world-altering, ad hoc content WotLK might be bringing with it.
