This seems pointless.. couldn't of you gone onto a previous thread of world of warcraft and say it there than just make a whole new thread?
EDIT:I mean, At least make this thread worthwhile adding, what do you like in WoW or what do you hate?

I played WoW for 4 years, i have seen the game develop and this is the general direction the game has come since release.

Average -> Good -> Great -> Average -> Horrible -> Nosebleed Bad

The fact that you play a deathknight says enough. I hope you have fun thinking you are better than everyone else, but ill let you know now that games balance never existed, and has only gotten worse with the release of WoTLK.

I canceled my subscription 2 months ago.

Good thing you did it before it ruined you *claps*.

I don't like WoW due to the constant grinding you have to do and the monthly fees can go...do something acceptable in a childrens program :p. It just seems too addictive and I personally prefer Guild Wars.

I don't care if you play it but please don't turn into an anti social night monster that lives of junk food and doesn't move from your computer screen for hours on end

This is the best thread you can think of?

One that is done on every single forum 10 times before people get bored, e.g. after 2nd one?

Isn't that what everybody is nowadays?
Also, I'm tired of the debate forums of why everybody hates WoW, so can we please end these? They're getting redundant..

I enjoyed WoTLK, and I did not play a DK.

The new content in Northrend was quite fun and the concepts and quest lines really created new standards in their questing dynamics that breathed new life into WoW for me for the first time in years.

Then I got to 80 on my druid main, bear tanked my way through Naxxramas, Sarthrion, EoE.....over and over...and decided to take a hiatus after about two straight months of that.

The game is in pretty good shape right now honestly, but, boring in the end game and WoW, personally, for me, has never had much replay-ability in its class options as generally only a few classes really appeal to most players, so I personally don't grind alts through the same boring content over and over.

So I go to WoW for interesting and really, when you look at it, quite brilliant new approaches to Blizzard content, and for replay-ability I mostly stick with CoH/CoV, but largely, only when I'm not busy slaving for my own game.

Anyways, WoW illicits a lot of hate from people, which, I think, is more unwarranted than the Halo hate someone was referencing in another thread. At least WoW finally got Fantasy MMO's right....after what...15 years of people screwing them up? Halo just came along and let all the 12 year olds into the FPSer pool, a domain that was originally for the hip l33t 20 somethings with that 128k ISDN connection and a 80ms ping to the local Quake server.

Ahh...the good old days. When Thresh was actually good and not just a hack with an agent.

Good times man....good times.

Recommendation: Get a minimum wage job at McDonalds, flipping burgers. You'll get the same general experience as World of Warcraft, and get paid!

See, you grind burgers to make a set amount of money each hour, for eight hours per day. You take this money to shops/etc and can buy useful things from other "players".

See?

Two things, firstly this has been done a million times before, try using the search engine when you start a thread.
I know you're new here but you need to know these things.

Yeah i play WoW and at the moment i spend most my WoW time on maelstrom and blade's edge servers.
Which means once a week i log on for a couple of hours to do instance runs with friends. It beats the monotonous grind i sometimes feel.

P.S. please spell things correctly.

P.P.S. Please avoid starting these hate-inciting threads.

I lol'd
After playing it solidly for a year around the release I realised it could get addictive quite easily so I quit. Then a month ago my friend told me I could play as a character who could use the force and have zombies do his bidding. I'm playing at the moment though I do think the game should come with a "please use responsibly" sign on it and possibly a picture of an obese 40 year male covered in peanut butter to scare possible vulnerable user's off.

I used to like it, but it wouldnt work for me for a month for some reason, and I went back to Runescape in that time.
...Within 3 hours, my mind had been unshackled. Ive never gotten back into WoW again.

I stopped playing some months ago, but I had lost interest far before that. The best time I ever had playing WoW was during the classic days. The patches and the expansions were great for the new content they provided, but they changed the game so much, in ways both good and bad. What is left now is not the game I fell in love with.

Battlegrounds ruined world PVP, which I loved more than anything else in the game. Then, when they became cross-server, they spoiled in-realm notoriety, rivalry and drama to a great degree. I won't say the same for arena as it did give the better PVPers a venue to go up against similarly skilled opponents more regularly and in a more organised environment.

Casual epics and nerfed encounters degraded the magic of raiding quite a bit. So too did horrible design; Mount Hyjal? Snore.

There's more to dislike about the direction WoW has been going in for the last while, and like many long-time subscribers I could go on about what I think Blizzard should and should not have done almost indefinitely. Despite this, to look at WoW's current state from an unseasoned perspective, it is still a brilliant game.

I originally tried WoW because i have fun wandering around tons upon tons of MMOs, and well, with all the popularity of WoW, everyone made it out to be the most amazing MMO in existence. I was sorely disappointed. Ive came back to WoW 3 times, and still haven't caught the Warcraft Fever... even after drinking the tainted water. Ive played over 100 different MMOs, and I wouldn't be able to put WoW in my top five. T_T

I played WoW for a while because I received free playtime. A friend of mine paid half a year in advance just to figure out he doesn't like the game after a month or so. Played a human mage to 60 and eventually got bored despite pvp and raiding. The latter was the main reason to quit, since raiding appeared to me more like a job you pay for than a game to have fun with. When BC came out I gave it another shot but it was just more of the same. Which is great if you really liked it, but bad if you were not too happy with the game before. After my BC month my mage came to rest at lvl 66, 67 or so and is probably deleted already.

Last summer I visited some friends, which are still playing WoW and I had no clue what they were saying when talking about the game. Whole sentences only consisting of abbreviations and numbers. And the inflationary use of the word 'epic'. Weird.

Play it, Like it. Not much else to say. I hardly prioritize it over my other interests though. A raid every week or so a few quests there, then I go do somthing else.

I however don't agree with all the shit it gets, it's addicting, agreed, but over smoking and drinking or possibly any sexual deviant fetish-hobbies out there and eating excessively, I'd say it's the safer less expensive of the bunch. People who do ANYTHING too much are likely to become loopy and or dead eventually, so don't go flinging news articles my way, people like that just need a firm smack. Everyone has a vice, mines an MMO game.

I can see how somepeople would agree it being boring and overhyped, but I guess I'm just one of those people who needs that kind of mindnumbing monotony to rethink otherthings during the day. It's a welcome break and being the kind of meticulous multitasking female that I am, it's a great way to accomplish 'somthing' when my mind really should be resting.

I play EU-EmeraldDream, if anyone wants to come say hi one day.

Oh and I'm Alliance...not by choice. Varian has demonstrated his prickishness during WoTLK so I grugingly support Jaina as a leader. But when I first started I wanted to be a Troll. =\
