Tried it. I went through three different areas full of ever more powerful enemies, went to all the towns, and have never found more than 2 quests, both of which are either insanely hard and annoying or really easy and give little experience.
So yeah, sorry, but maybe I'm just playing it wrong or something. =P
27, you say? Horde or Alliance? Try Ashenvale, should have quests for either-- for Ally, there's a town in the east (Forest Song, I think it's called) that's a quest hub (Astranaar will just send you away), for Horde, you're looking for Splintertree Post. Also: Horde, try Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad (Eastern Kingdoms continent) and Ally, try Menethil Harbor in Wetlands (same continent). Should find plenty of high-20s quests. Grab Thottbot.com and run a search for quests by zone for those zones, you'll find lots of stuff. WoW is grindtastic, but if you actually run out of quests, it means you're not looking in the right place.

As for me, I play somewhat rarely, both my mains are mages-- have one for each faction. 71 Ally, 67 Horde (this one's my focus ATM), both on US-Greymane, and a 43 NE Druid (and assorted lower lvl alts). My husband plays a lot more often than I do, he's got an 80 Tauren Druid + assorted alts.

What I like about WoW: the lore, the gorgeous scenery, the feeling of accomplishment for doing stuff. What I don't like: the standard MMO grind, leveling in general, the feeling that I have to play constantly just to keep up.

I have never seen an empty server before. Most servers are completely full. At any time you can find a good 50+ people in any major city. I would try a different server or something because that's just unheard of.

And yeah, there are some really good guilds out there. But on the same note, there are some really bad ones too.
Boulderfist EU [http://i40.tinypic.com/i595r6.jpg] is almost dead, I deleted that mage because I never used it.

My main is a 70 paladin on Outland, going to get the expansion when I renew my subscription next month. This gives me time to get a Talbuk mount, a 280% flying mount and gold for skills/dual spec/cold weather flying.
I like WoW because it's simple to play and easy to level, which is important when you create a new alt(and delete the old one) every 3 days.

I tried to play WoW and got so bored trying to leveling up. I went back to Guild Wars and found it more fun than I did when I first got the game. WoW just didn't feel rewarding and well I didn't see or meet anyone in game who wasn't a complete ass hole, who wasn't already a friend. Even after playing in about 4 or 5 realms and 3 guilds. And the icing on the cake being you have to either pay 2 subcription fees and have 2 accounts or try convince your friend in either EU or US to switch realm lists to play together. Something I found jarring because I jump from EU to US to international servers all the time in Guild Wars.

Used to play it. Quit shortly before the launch of WOTLK: I stopped enjoying PvP any more, and raiding was 'okay'.

I still linger on my old guild's site. They're all that kept me playing through BC.
