Cesare Borgia in AC:B, apparently he's evil just because he wants to conquer Italy, ignoring the historical facts that show that Italy would be oppressed by foreign Austrian and French monarchs later on anyway so in fact it would've been a GOOD thing to conquer and unify Italy. Sure it would be oppressive but It'd be better for Italy in the long run.

I was playing Just Cause 2 with some buddies and we came to the conclusion that the game was about a man who is sent into a semi-developed country to destabalize its infrastructure and murder everybody, and we were meant to cheer for this guy.
Sure there is a bunch of expository bullshit, about how the government is corrupt and it opresses everybody, but we really only have the word of about 3 unimportant charecters and the leaders of several terrorist cells. Does that really justify murdering everybody and destroying their water towers and gas stations?
So who do you think is the worst protagonist ever in terms of how little good they do?
Kratos maybe? He's a dick.
Or maybe you stayed true to the title of inFAMOUS with evil Cole.
Discuss.
EDIT: The protagonist can be playable, non-playable, silent, whatever, as long as they are the "good guy" and are terrible at being the "good guy".
Oh I started thinking about that too but that thinking was drowned out by the screams the civilian I was dragging behind in my car.
In all seriousness, you shouldn't take it seriously, however the story takes itself seriously so I guess I'll chip in. The ending (ok it's a spoiler but if you went into this game for the story you should reconsider your expectations) was a joke, "I blew up the biggest oil reserve in the world [despite oil reserves generally being deep underground i.e. AWAY from the damage of the nuke] so that my nation doesn't go to war because a congressman wants to drive his hummer" taking out of the equation that petroleum is used for all plants we use to make clothes and grow food, so he's responsible for extended suffering of the world and the upcoming famine, as well as shutting off the fuel supply of the trucks that cart the food around so that even if we did have enough food to supply the populace with it would be very slow to get it across.
Other things that didn't make any sense was that if you are being chased you can still call in your black market support, generally any time aside from campaign missions, even if you're say in the biggest concentration of military in the country you can call him in and no one notices.
