Worse Time to lose power

the title says it all, when is the worse time to lose power.
my city just got hit by a major ice storm and i've lost power twice, both times for about an hour. This wouldn't have been a problem had i not been playing Far Cry 2 at the time of the first power outage and lost over 3 hours of play time because i didn't save for that time.

This doesn't have to deal with video game, anything could be worse without power

SUMMER. I live in texas...it gets upward of 110 degrees here. The last thing you want is to have no AC or fans during the heat in Texas.

About a month ago, during a bad ice/wind storm we lost power for a day and a half. Luckily, only half the town lost power, so I went to a friend's house and watched movies while my family shivered it out in front of a fire.

I'm drunk, I'm tired, I'm fluish, and because I can't sleep I put in a disc from some crappy WB series so I can just chill looking a pretty people and eventually fall asleep. And then the power goes out, meaning that now I'm sitting in the dark, sick and very angry.

(Hasn't happened yet, but I'm in this position right now and I'm East Coast, USA. So I'm ready for anything.)

Last month I found myself in a rather horrid spot... it was about 10 PM and I was in the middle of dying my hair when my power went out... I had to finish putting the dye in my hair and rinse it out all by candle light.

It's not something I recommend. Trust me.

I was working on a paper for school last year, and it had to be about 20 or so pages. I was at home, finishing typing it up, and I lost power. I freaked out so much, cause I had spent the past 2-3 days straight typing it up. Thankfully, I worked on it at school as well, and I had a copy saved on the computer there, so I only lost about 4 pages instead of the whole thing

Last week we were without power for a couple of days. It was -20 which isn't terrible but the house was fucking freezing. I've had a breaker pop during the finale of a L4D campaign on expert. That was fun.

Worst time was on the finale of No mercy during L4D campaign on expert with 3 friends of mine... one other lost power, and apparently our bodies (with AI brains...) didn't last more then 3.5 seconds before being ripped apart by no less then 2 hunters, a smoker, and a tank.

Needless to say I got quite the angry phone call once the power came back on from the two others going WTF!?!? They thought that me and the other guy who had lost power had just taken off (quite like the AI guys in GoW2?? LOL!)

Yah.. that and while I was writing a final in grade 12, because they would not allow us to finnish, and it was the last 20 mins of it, so they made us write brand new ones the following week (which should have been summer lets drink time!) That was a sad day in history! Thank god being in college, if that happens they just make you wait it out!

Ahh, I was 6 hours without power yesterday and then 8 hours without power two weeks ago. Who knew I could read for so long?

The worst time? Probably after watching a horror movie.

I wasn't watching a horror movie, but one day I was home alone and the power went out. It wasn't scary at first, but then I heard footsteps upstairs. I was awake for a few hours with a bat clutched in my hands that night.
