worked like a dream until the enemy jumps in front of you, or the building, or the rock wall, basically anything anywhere near you would kill you.

and i think the fork of truth is probably one of the most pathetic weapons...still awesome...but sucky...should've been able to upgrade to the spork of truth!

I think Kingdom Hearts one and two made the gunblade pretty sweet actually. its like seven feet long (typical anime style) and shoots. So it is both a range and a melee.

Anyway, I think the worst weapon would be the Disintegrater Gun that Daffy Duck had in a Bugs Bunny episode. You pull the trigger and the gun disintegrates.

Double-ended Lightsaber. Looks awesome, but there's a huge chance that you'll slice off your own limb. Seriously. And the handle isn't nearly long enough to use like a Bo Staff, so your grips are limited.

that's why they use the force.

Seriously, they use their attunement with the force to have a supernatural awareness of where their body is, in relation to the lightsaber. It's explained pretty clearly. A double bladed lightsaber would require a lot more care in its use, but using the Force, it's definitely not the most hard to believe things jedis do.

Cracked.com did a huge section of an article about the stupidity of a gunblade. Mainly because any gun with a really long heavy sword attahed to the barrel you would need to use your second hand to hold it steady like a rifle, meaning you would slice your hand open if you tried to use both hands. Also if you stabbed someone with it the barrel would clog with bits of flesh and general people-parts.

Actually, I'd say the lightsaber is the dumbest weapon ever. And also the coolest, and this is coming from a huge Star Wars nerd.

I mean, a beam of pure energy in the approximate length of a sword with but absolutely no weight anywhere but the handle, and the ability to slice through limbs with almost no resistance? Who the hell would want to train on one of those?

They are badass though, just impractical
