I'll go with Mass Effect's completionist achievement... Seriously? They want us to go over the game fully 4 times, completing EVERYTHING each time?

I've only played through Mass Effect once and I have this achievement. You just need to do 90% of the game's quests and missions.

I might be wrong but they might be talking about getting the ally things to. Not sure but yea.

No, the achievement requires you complete 100% of the game, which includes the achievements for allys (Of which you can only get two per attempt in campaign, and each time require 75% of both missions and optional assignments completed to ), and also all romance subplots (Of which there is four). I like the game, but this is a step to far in my opinion.

No.. the completionist achievement is given after you complete the majority of the game in one play through. I got it my first time through. The guide you linked, was just a guide on how to do everything in the game, not how to get the achievement.

I personally dont own a 360 but I think I can qualify to say that I have earned my friends accidental achievements by doing incredibly dumb-me things or like in gears of war 2, killing-earned my friend an achievement for just burning another enemy. I mean RLY now?

Dead Rising, where you kill the entire town's population.
Prototype, kill the same number of infected that you did to get the achievement in Dead Rising.

I hate multiplayer achievements because the game's campaign may have been fun, but i might not be too into the multiplayer aspect.

And I'll agree, GoW2's Seriously 2.0 is a load of crap, but you can get people to get the achievement for you online *rolls eyes*

Hmm... I've done virtually 100% on one play through and never got it, I'm sure of it...

Those stupid achievements in Assassin's Creed that required you to collect all those flags. Really, who the hell would do that? Who is THAT desperate for achievements?

the same thing applies with gta 4 and those freaking rat pidgeon thingys.

Exactly. Although, I did have more patience with those since you got something other than an achievement for killing them. You got weapons and stuff.

i knew a guy who repeated the brumak level over and over and over and over and well you get the point. he got it in a week.
and while he was doing that, i was actually enjoying the campaign.

I'm not sure about the achievement name but Quake 4 has one for being the number one ranked player. How am I supposed to do that when no one plays the game???

I've also heard of one in some permutation of Guitar Hero or Rock Band, where they award you some sort of zero point achievement for failing or giving up in some instance.

oh i'll agree. i told him he was an idiot and i just got the achievements through actual normal gameplay.
i might like the ding of an unlocked achievement, but i'm not going to those lengths. i don't think anyone should
