Is this game any good? I have the demo, but have yet to play it. Judging by your avatar, your opinion may be slanted, but still, I would like to know.

Seriously? How the fucking is my dual wielding rogue, with low base damage, but high attack frequency supposed to do that?

Dual Wielding rogues...can't really get it. Since they are just a bunch of little damage numbers adding up quickly. Via poison, backstabbing, and talents like Flurry.
I feel your pain. I was a Rogue as well and figured I'd never get that one. Then I played Awakening and had The Father do his support Fire Flame of Doom attack thing. Trophy popped right away, so try that if you have the DLC.

Arceus above, that is one very tedious achievement.
Indeed, getting this one wasn't fun. After I got 100% on the game, I swore I would not touch it for two years. However, getting every item in the GAME is the one that made me cry.

Okay, now that I have quoted pretty much half of the posts on this thread, I shall add my own thought: Big Baller from Call of Duty World at War is in second place. Honestly, 75,000 points in a single zombie game? This one took me a few tries. A few ANGRY tries. But the winner is...

Acquire the Waffle Weapons from World at War. RAGE! PURE RAGE! HOURS spent playing in Der Rise, watching my points fall to nothing waiting for the damn GAME to decide when I should get the trophy. No test of skill, no heroic last stands against horrible odds, no true glorious battle to the death. Just me standing in front of a box constantly hitting a button, waiting for the game to go, "Hm...okay" while a zombie claws at my shins. $*&@^$#@!^!@#)*(^%(*#&%!^(%#!!!!!

The one in halo 3 where you had to destroy something with a trip mine because it had to be VERY damn specific or else it wouldn't give it to you... Very annoying, only worth about 5 gamer score I think.

Invest in Archery, good sir. 600+ damage.

OT:
A few of the achievements in The Simpsons Game made me facepalm. One of them being 5G for pressing the start button, another for 0G when you die 10 times.

Just noticed one for the crappy mmorpg Flyff- Play 5000 hours on one character. That's 208 straight days. Flyff is the most generic of the generic grinder mmos. It has about.. 2 hours of play time. Yeah.. no.

I've got it too, and I really liked it. There are most definitely worse things to spend your money on. The demo will give you a good idea what to expect, just play that

Warriors have Final Blow, mages can get it with Mana Clash, and archers can get it with Arrow of Slaying.

I can probably think of worse ones, but Dragon Age is what I'm playing right now.
I agree with that, I only got it with my rogue through the Awakening's extra abilities.

I'll also go with perfectionist on that game. I mean the game is about what? 30+ hours and they want me to discover every possible ending across all playthroughs? Seriously there is no way, as much as I like that game I've got others to play and life to attend to. So to go through all that for 50 points(xbox) only shows that you are a massive nerd(no offense to all nerds out there, I'm a bit of one myself)with absolutely no life outside of the game. That or you've got one amazing attention span.

Pressing the start button at the title screen for Soul Calibur 4. That was ridiculous.
I literally had to stop playing for like five minutes and go get some of my friends to make sure I wasn't just seeing things.

I got it easy in Awakening by using Heartseeker. Of course if you don't have Awakening then it'd pretty hard to get, so just go Warrior next time.

Wow. They really must want people to play their game.

If you keep a save at the right point, you can actually get that in two playthroughs. In one playthrough, if you save right before the final battle, you just have to do the final battle over again and choose a different person to make the killing blow. The worst part of that is having to go through the tedious final battle over again...

OT: There's an achievement on Prince of Persia for starting a new game. "The Journey Begins" or something like that. Then another for completing the basic opening tutorial. Then another for discovering the girl's secret power, which is done in the third or fourth cut scene.

Basically any achievements that involve being in multiplayer or having to do co-op. I'm sorry but I'm not that awesome at multiplayer.

Thanks for the tip!

The Simpsons Game (i.e. the most recent Simpsons game) had a whole bunch of spurious Trophies/Achievements, but I wasn't that bothered.

I guess the worst one for me would be the Gnome one from HL2:Ep2. What was up with that i mean come on etc.

Despite being a fairly amazing game, Lost Odessy was unique in that it literally had 30ish+ hours of gameplay over the course of 4 disks...but it gave you about half the gamer score RIGHT at the beginning for completing the tutorials. (Congratulations, you put 2 + 2 together! 80G! What's that? You learned how to open a box by pressing 'A' next to it? 120G! However, if you wanted the other half of the gamer score, it would literally take you hundreds of hours. Just...searching. Every. Single. Thing. Over four disks. Again. And Again.)

Otherwise, achievements for things that I would never, EVER do kind of get to me. Even if they do show me more ways to play the game. (Like Resident Evil 5. Killing an enemy by throwing a rotten egg at their face. Seriously, who the hell throws an EGG at AK-47/Rocket Launcher toting parasite zombies?)

Actually, if you save before the landsmeet, you only need to keep one part where Loghain kills the Archdemon, one where Alistair does it, and one where you do it.

It's possible to do it with one save. No avoiding the final battle though. It goes by faster just putting it on Casual and going through it though.

The demo is very much like the rest of the game. You spend most of it fighting the same red soldiers, even when other enemies are introduced...or you are on their side. The levels get long and tedious as well.

On the other hand, if you like the campy humour and ditsy catgirl and bad, bad accents, the game keeps that running throughout, and there is some nice bits later on.

the Untouchable trophy on Enslaved: Odyssey to the west, it's a gold trophy that you can get in the first chapter, you get it for not dying, but the thing is, YOU CANT DIE ON THE FIRST CHAPTER!
