Worst anime you have ever watched

Linebarrels of Iron. My god that show was awful. Horrible character AND mecha design plus a main character that was a complete ass for no reason? I'm surprised I made it to episode 4.

At the risk of plugging my own crap, I made this out of screenshots from ep 2 and 4. I found that making them helped... ease the pain.

I hated the whole thing until they self destructed in an almost karmic tragedy as if to mock how bad the rest was.

Aoi Yori Aoshi (manga was a bit crap as well)
Rio Rainbow Gate (fan service + casino is not a good idea)
Death Note (M & N just ruined both it and the manga for me)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (just to piss some people off, but I genuinely didn't like it)

Yeah, agreed, didn't like M + N in death note, it started off amazing and continued like that, without spoiling, after such and such happened, M + N's introduction kinda killed it and kept it dragging like a dog on a leash tied to a speeding car ¬_¬

I think anime writers just don't know when to stop a series. It seems to be a theme in anime that the show will find a great place to end, but then it doesn't and instead it just keeps going with no point to it.

This happened with Deathnote, it happened with Gantz, it happened with evangelion, and a ton of other animes a list of which would be too long to ever commit to paper.

please... Please, PLEASE. I AM BEGGING YOU PLEASE explain to me how evangelion ran off and kept going with no point of it.

IMO evangelion didn't run off on itself with no point specifically because of the last 2 episodes (!@#$ the movie, philosophical questions ftw).

Actually, i take back ALL previous suggestions to this thread. The true anime monster was Mnemosyne.
My brother showed me that shit when i was 10, mentally scarred me and gave me nightmares.

Out of all the suggestions i have seen on this thread as to being the worst anime, i have yet to see one other that has psychological consequences.

Also, if anyone else on this thread has watched Mnemosyne could you by chance tell me if it was actually good or not (for an older mindset)?

I hated, outright hated Macross and Macross Plus. I don't know why. I know they were both very popular and several people place the shows in their top 10 or 20 but I disliked them both immensely. Cyber City Oedo 808 and Soreyuke! Uchû senkan Yamamoto Yôko were two others I loathed.

I hear you on Macross Plus. The thing I hate most in anime is senseless emotional attachment, when (the ***** with green hair, idol, Spoiler) found out she was apart of the enemy group and completely changed her character all in one season finale episode i got sooooooooooo mad. Made NO sense.

The one with that guy in it. It was pretty much the original, I found it the least enjoyable of all the mech shows I've watched.

ok watch the series that followed it and the first looks realy good....... zeda gundam.....worst animie ever for the sole fact that the main guy is always saying WHY ARE YOU KILLING PEOPLE!? in like the worst voice ever(dubble zeda is a bit better as the main guy in that ones after money most of the time)

Devil May Cry
One Piece
Blood+

You might wanna give One Piece another try. I'm up-to-date on all the manga chapters, so I know that about halfway in it gets kinda boring... but once (SEMI-SPOILERS) the time skip happens, it gets REALLY interesting.

if there weren't so many episodes i would but but i don't want have to watch 200-ish episodes before it starts to get good

I'll never understand the hate for Queen's Blade.

It's an anime built entirely around the prospect of selling the figures of the characters. The writing is almost entirely built around getting said characters into provocative stances and situations.

In that sense, it does exactly what it aimed to do. Calling it bad is like calling fast food bad.

That, and its generally a sin to say that FLCL is just bad. It's almost universally considered one of the best anime of the last decade. But humor is funny like that.

For me it is a tie between:

Dragon Ball Z or pro wrestling as an anime with less of a plot and fights that last 3 or 4 episodes and are 70% people standing still screaming. Woooo!

and the lets scream Inuyasha, Kagome for like half an hour show.

Sure Dragonball Z started to fall into this after the Frieza saga, but Dragonball is a great anime and so is Dragonball Z. Sure they stand around pooping themselves for 5 episodes, but at least when something happened it was the most badass 15 minutes on TV.

Such a good series.

Saying that though Dragonball GT is probably the worst anime I have ever seen.

It has to be tied with Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and post-first season Pokemon and Yugioh.

What are you talking about? Dragon Ball Z was like that from the very beginning, always standing around powering up and taunting each other, watching them charging a super for a whole episode to find it does fuck all in the next. Then the other parts were filled with cliche crap, clumsy character moments, angry women & drama queens, flash backs and random filler. I think I watched Goku charge up a spirit bomb for 20 episodes, just to find out it didn't do jack.

Dragon Ball wasn't as slow as DBZ but really childish, really really childish. There is no way your going o convince us it's great.

I haven't actually watched this but Kampfer. Imagine the sexy jutsu concept from Naruto elongated into an entire anime series and that's basically it.

Kampfer is nothing like that,sure it's about the main guy turning into a girl,but it's not to see chicks naked or anything perverted.Hell most of the girls are more perverted than him and he's not exactly transforming willingly.It's still not that great a show,it's very unfocused and not sure if it wants to fighting with some echhi or echhi slice of life and the plot suffers greatly for it. Not to mention the last episode while funny is a massive kick in the pants and the one OVA out has done nothing to at least tie up the plot so it can become the ecchi slice of life series it wants to be.

OT: Asides from Kampfer,:
School Days,though it's one that's so terrible it has to be seen to be believed

White Album,very slow paced which can be a good thing,but here nothing really happens, the leads have no chemistry,the supporting cast is uninteresting and it's very humorless,which could have been the shows saving grace if someone cracked a joke.

Persona Trinity Soul,a massive let down that I'd like to forget about and hope that the P4 anime will do much better.

Hokage No Pledies: Either it's generic magic girl shit or a deconstruction /parody that could give Madoka Magica a run for it's money.

And as for thing overall....just...too.....slow...
USually I classify a good anime as one I can multi-task or watch and time goes by fast. If it feels slow, then its a bad anime for me.

And maybe Gundam and Code Gaess/Gauss/Gaeuss? Maybe I just hate mecha in general....but..I do enjoy Gurren Langen so maybe just those ones.

Remember that Persona: Trinity Soul wasn't exactly based on the same concept besides the Persona and Syndrome.

Judging from the trailer AND actual story, Persona 4 Animation is the actual anime and not some spin-off that shows what happens after like PTS was trying to do.

Yeah that was part of my problem going into the show and while the concept of pulling persona out was cool,it didn't stop the show from being just boring.
