The difference is that I've never seen a thread involving MLP that didn't end in a flame-war, and I don't place faith in people to not start another. I have no faith the detractors because it seems half of them go out of their way be as big of dicks about it as possible (take, for example, this guy [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.308132-Worst-Cartoon-Currently-on-Air?page=8#12424760],) and I have no faith the fans because they can never let anything slide. If you're determined to see it as favouritism then I suppose that's your prerogative.Iwata said:What this guy said. I don't have anything against MLP, but saying "Which cartoon do you hate most, and OH, YOU CAN'T SAY THE ONE I LIKE!" doesn't really make for a fair enquiry, does it? I know you said you wanted to avoid a flame war, but hey, who's telling you someone won't take offence to a cartoon THEY like, and start a flame war based on that?
Well the earlier episodes like before 2004ish are really good but after that they just started milking the show for all it worth and its crap now. Really the show wasn't meant to last this long its just a shadow of its former slef at this point.ReservoirAngel said:I wish to nominate Spongebob Squarepants. For the life of me I cannot figure out the appeal of this show whatsoever. If I wanted to watch hyperactive idiots run around and fuck stuff up for 15 minutes I'd go to my friend's house and give her kids sherbet.
Couldn't have said it better myself.2QUAR3D said:Family Guy. It's poorly written, weak in humour and adored by young-teens who prefer its crudity and irrelevance over subtle and intelligent humour.
So there's a cartoon mouse who thinks Haile Selassie is God?Rawne1980 said:Not "exactly" a cartoon but Rasta Mouse is a personal hate. My youngest sings the theme tune and it makes my ears bleed.
Judge for yourselves people.
You know what the concept was? A kid's super genius sisters test shit on him.Jourdan Cameron said:THIS.FirstToStrike said:Johnny Test. Just hearing the god damn intro song makes me want to throw a baby down a flight of stairs.
THIS. THIS. THIS. THIS. THIS.
Ugh, and most of what's on Cartoon Network.
Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law was made with Flash, and it was really good. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you meant.Technicolor said:Almost every Flash animated TV show is absolute shit in my opinion, Johnny Test comes to my mind immediately.
I'm with you on these... though my friends' kids watch them, thus, I do, thus... I think I've developed some stockholm syndrome for them. but they're pretty bad. Oh, and for the longest time, the intro for Almost Naked Animals sounded like they were saying (a male body part) instead of "your pants wont be missed). go listen to it... it can't be unheard!otakon17 said:I have two actually, both from Cartoon Network.
Sidekicks and Almost Naked Animals.
Both are completely stupid and insipid.
EDIT: "Almost", not "Nearly".
P.S. I love Adventure Time.
I would give exception to any flash cartoon made by Williams Street Productions, as they aren't lazy as shit when it comes to flash.Sinclair Solutions said:Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law was made with Flash, and it was really good.
