I have a feeling this is going to turn into one of those threads where people who watched cartoons in the 90s talk about how much better cartoons were then than they are now.
OT: Max and Ruby is the only one that comes to mind, and I haven't seen that in at least 6 years? So I don't know
Nice to meet you, Nostradamus.
Most everybody in this thread seems to be overstating how bad some of these shows are.
Johnny Test: I really don't like it, but I've certainly seen worse.
Chowder: I actually thought it was pretty funny... most of the time.
Squidbillies: Okay, yea, it's bad and unfunny, but that's par for the course when it comes to 90% of Adult Swim's shows.
Family Guy: I think it's gotten a lot worse over the course of it's run, but I used to really like it. So there's something in having been good, even if it isn't that good today.
Thomas the Tank Engine: What, seriously? You guys are upset about this? It's a show for 6-year-olds about trains with FACES. To be honest, that clip doesn't seem that far off from what I remember of Thomas. In fact if it weren't for the CGI, I'd immediately assume it WAS from the 90's.
I haven't been watching many cartoons lately, so it's difficult for me to pick which is the current worst one, but if I had to pick, I'd probably say Squidbillies if only because it's the worst one I can recall that is still airing.
And yes, I know what I just said is all my own opinions and you guys are entitled to yours. But several of the shows that have been named are somewhat popular, which means they are reaching their target audience (or in the case of MLP, a completely unexpected and somewhat disturbing audience).
