Worst character EVAR!

We all like participating in those threads where we can randomly shout out "Gordon Freeman", in other words, voting on the best characters but I think it's high time we examined the worst characters in gaming. As video games start to be obsessed with storytelling, characterisation is going to be an important part of the gaming experience, so perhaps we should have a discusion about what makes a really, really bad character.

Annoying, bland, Jar-Jar Binks? Tell us who you think is the worst character(s) of all time, but for the love of God please tell us why.

I've been playing Mass Effect of late, and I've found Kaiden Alenko to be bland. Just really, really bland. Ooh look at me I was put through a tough bioticcamp. I don't care, you still sound exactly like Carth from KOTOR.

I hate... no not hate.... loathe Dante. His smugness, his arrogance, his sheer overwhelming prickness. Everything.

The lead character in Rogue Ops - buxom blonde female spy, how much more generic can you get? To make matters worse, she looks like Miley Cyrus, but according to the story, she's lost both her husband and child to a terrorist attack. Um, yeah. To quote Yahtzee, "You're TWELVE!"

The sad thing is that the game itself was not half bad. And the lead character was originally a more mature-looking brunette, who was scrapped when someone dared compare her to (drumroll) Lara Croft. For the record, she didn't look anything like Lara, apart from the haircut.

Never in my life have I despised being constantly told what to do so much.

Second - I hated him the MGS2 kept crying about his half sister, i just wanted to slap him and say STOP WHINING!

In MGS4 he was cooler just like Raiden even though i still hate them both

She was such an annoying character, and I think it was an inside joke that they gave the most annoying and normally useless character angel feathers, the most powerful move in the game.

I fucking despise Sasuke as well. In the old Naruto games he was overpowered, but then so was Kyuubi Naruto, but Naruto doesn't irritate me.

But really, I guess that's all in relation to the anime, where he also irritates me to no end, so I guess it doesn't really count.

i hate nero in devil may cry 4.

doctor li for fallout 3 annoyed me to no end, the way she says what is it when u talk to her made her eat shotgun shells on many occasion. (followed by me loading the game again).
