Scribblenauts and Too Human, hands down two of the worst control schemes, if not THE worst, of all time. Too Human: Melee over camera control? F*** NO!! Scribblenauts: Using the touch screen to control your guy in a platformer? No.....just no.

flying anything in any GTA game, nobody has that many hands...
Don't get me started on GTA IV's final level...

What's that? You want me to drive a shitty bike across sand without having it spontaneously combust in the sea? And then you want me to fly a helicopter? AND stay within distance of a target without falling into the sea? AND land it without blowing up? All whilst never fully explaining the God-awful controls? With no checkpoints? Think I'll pass, thanks.

[small]I did complete it though.[/small]

Heavy Rain...and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet [though I could have just been ninja'd without realizing it]

Walking around was a tedious chore made even more frustrating by the camera angles. The quick time events were alright but it made up a majority of gameplay. The thing that clinched it for me though was the scene in which you are forced to crawl through that glass-filled tunnel. It took several attempts for me to make the game know I wanted to turn LEFT and not AROUND

Going back to the original Prince of Persia (like the one from the 80s or whenever) is a horrid reminder about how shitty some games used to be. I found I had to be way to precise in everything I did (even I Wanna Be The Guy didnt require that kind of precision).

The Force Unleashed was pretty bad, it was a pain to use the force powers - which were the key features, and I never felt like an acrobatic sith.
what did you play on? i really didn't find em that bad, it was quite easy to rape on just about everything

OT:

worst controls...i can't think of a single game, i'd be inclined to say any shooters on the psp, its just god awful trying to shoot and move accurately

Don't get me wrong, the game was really easy, The controls just didn't ever seem to work as well as they could have in terms of using the force to throw objects. The bad level design didn't help with the awkward jumping either.

Superman for the N64. I literally could not complete the first level, because the controls were so horrible.

for the record, the first level was "here's some rings, fly through them."

Armored Core 2 used the directional pad for movement when there was clearly an analog stick that could be used. Fortunately that was not the case for AgeTec's most recent games. Silent Line Armored Core solved that problem but still had the issue of camera control with the shoulder buttons instead of the right analog stick.

For FPSes I can't for the life of me use a 360 controller and I barely get by on a Playstation 2 controller. no nevermind I'll shut up now

/THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION AND I KNOW YOU WILL HATE ME FOR THIS REGARDLESS

For real though, Scribblenauts and all games which you click where you want to move annoy me to no end. (probably 25% of the reason I hated/still hate Runescape)

Super Smash Bros Brawl with only the Wii remote or remote + nunchuk. It's acceptable with a classic and great with a gamecube controller, but the remote(+ nunchuk) is just horrible.
about that...wii remote+ nunchuck; thats how i play, and once you get the hang of it; its not hard at all. it isnt bad either, each button is well placed.
playing with only the wiimote is begging for suicide tho.

I have to say, if you're starting Armored Core games; and don't know what to do; you're definately fucked in terms of controls. I picked up Last Raven expecting the same keymap as Monster Hunter (reasonable) but i soon found out that the keymap they planned is ridiculous, but adaptable.
