I'm gonna have to go with Roman, from GTA IV,
I would rather kill Kate then him, cause A) You can't date her anyways no matter what decision you make, and B) Roman had a wife, and a child and a bunch of friends.

Also wow, Aries Split, you really like MGS

Or Sergent Avery Johnson in Halo 3, because he survived the Covenant and the Flood all those times (not just in the games but in the books as well) just to get killed by a floating nerdy lightbulb.
He died? Jesus! I read the Harvest prologue books! Noooooooo!

silver is reserved for Carmine getting No-scoped in Gears of War (again...humor and laughter technically count as emotions).
Oh, God, I LOVED that!

One of my favorite deaths was Carmine. Avery Johnson was just a flat out surprise to me because I did not see that coming because he had survived so much only to be done in when you least expected it. He was practically as durable as the master chief..

The "death" of Agro the horse in Shadow the Colossus hit me pretty hard; you've been through thick and thin with him fighting the colossi and getting from place to place and then he throws you to safety leaving himself to fall hundreds of feet into a river bellow.

Jenny's death in The Darkness was also pretty well done, first The Darkness restrains you to force you to watch as the one thing Jackie cared about was executed, directly in front of you. Then Jackie kills himself in grief... while you watch him do it in a mirror.

A third one goes out to Sergeant Johnson, he survives so much, only to be stabbed (well lasered) in the back by a rampant AI. At least he went out with a bang by giving Spark one last shot with his Spartan Laser before giving it to you to finish the job.

(old age showing here) Betrayal at Krondor--Patrus dies after you've played him for a couple of levels, and it's totally meaningless. Gorath dies as well at the end, in more of a 'heroic sacrifice' move that still left a really bad taste in my mouth. WAY disappointing after the buildup...

If worst means 'most terrible' or 'that which sucked immesurably' then I would have to hand that award to any named character who died in Halo 3, lets face it...they were trying to jerk tears in their last moments...and failed. Failing that, anyone who died in a Resident Evil where Leon is present, simply because he has an unuseual habbit of screming in their face at the top of his lungs (hoping to bring them back?).

Most horrific...nominations go to: Anyone killed by the viral sniper in RA2-Yuri's revenge (having a disease that makes you explode must be one of the worst ways to die I can think of) and as a runner up (drum roll) pretty much anyone who died in any of the Slatterhouse games (I didn't know Namco had it in them to make something that grusome).

Most emotional deaths...gold medal would have to go to Steve's death in Resi Code Veronica (joy does count as an emotion) silver is reserved for Carmine getting No-scoped in Gears of War (again...humor and laughter technically count as emotions).

i was mad when carmine died...he was kicking a$$ up till that point.

There's one "ancestor" Who deserves to die. His ride, "It's a Small World After all" alone deserves for Mickey to Be hacheted or shot, or strung-up. But a response is definitely required.

Assassin's Creed...Don't get me wrong, I loved sneaking around on the rooftops, hiding in a group of priests (btw...who would seriously not pick you out, you have weapons plastered all over your body.), using the high profile assassination or quietly shanking a doctor/slave trader/What the fuck ever and then. Even the fact that after every time you kill an important figure, you have to get your ass back to the bureau which i can never find anyway. The thing i find annoying is the fact that every time you kill someone important, you have to go through 5 minutes of the SAME FUCKING DIALOGUE AS ALL THE OTHER ONES. Plus every time you assassinate someone new, it seems that you are killing the good guys. I wouldn't say that these deaths are the worst ones, for example I hated the Call of Duty 4 deaths at the end, but i don't think that good old fashioned running around on rooftops and raping the brains out of as many civilians as possible should be clinging to the back of a failing story line and so many fucking missions. Whoever wrote the plot for assassin's creed should be taken to a gay strip bar and then left in a soundproof room with no windows, 15 different kinds of dildoes and that guy everyone hates from star trek because he's gay and asian...Set your phasers to stunning captain.

Main character in Manhunt game. THAT is definetely worse death ever. Every time after losing all character's HP player could see punks kicking shit out of Cash and he was still alive. I mean, those sick perverted murderers promised to do many dirty (and I mean real dirty) things to Cash when they find him...

... AERIS.

How has she not been mentioned yet?
Was just about to... I found someone who managed to hack or something the game to keep her for the rest of the game - she can get really powerfull later on when leveled up. Thats one of the moments that makes people go 'What?!? NOOO!!!'

Johnson didn't die. D= I refuse to believe it. I mean, look at Halo's legendary ending. He was at the blast, and he made it.

I should get out of this thread, I'm getting tons of spoilers.

But um, I remember almost being at tears in Shadow of the Colossus with Agro, but so happy during the credits when you see he lived. I dunno, haven't played too many games where a character important to the story dies and doesn't like... Come back. Odd, really.

Finally! Someone mentions Jenny! Oh my god, that moment in video game history made me drop my control and yell "NO!!!" at the screen when it happened. I was so mad I powered through the game that night to get my revenge.

Worst death for me is in 11th Hour where I choose to have the hot sex craving woman only to have her turn into the main MALE villan and eat my character's ribs...I hated that >.<

Also Eli was a pain...what else...all my generals dieing in Medievil Total War because of assassins...umm...there is a few more I can't remember.
