Worst dictator in human history

Everybody here is hyped up on the number of death. id be more concerned on the actual atrocity. The vikings created the worst torture / death in history (the bloody eagle) which ill describe in another thread. Alternatively Vlad impaled half of his own army and posted them in front of his own abode, to scare off others. I'm not quite sure on who the worst would be considering it changes via perspective on peoples own values on human life.

Vlad the Impaler as people call him, is one of Romania's greatest heroes because he single handedly protected the country against the immense Turkish Empire. Most of the impaling was applied to the turkish soldiers and bulgarians, not so much on his own people as most of you say (only on traitors and such).
He is also in the "Top 100 Greatest Romanian Personalities" , so the impaling his own people and Dracula stories are all a bunch of crap.

Anyway, I think I'll go for Stalin. His Soviet Russia was pretty much the Imperial Guard of our world, killed tens of millions out of sheer paranoia, crippled his own military by purging it, not to mention the horrible plan economy. Mao comes second, Hitler third.

idk im gonna have to go with Hitler (btw I cant pull the exact millions off the top off my head but if you want to go off body count it was Mao, Stalin, then Hitler) because his impact on cultures all over Europe is imply massive, from London streets that are still in rubble to the mass graves outside Leningrad (St. Petersburg)and the unforgettable cattle trains and gas chambers of Auschwitz. True, but the population of China is about three times as large. That's why I think stalin was worse, as he killed about 10-15% of his entire population.
