out of all of the ones I've seen (which isn't that many actually) I'd have to say either Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

Worst game movie? All of them!

Trying to decide which one was worse than the others is like trying to decide which animal's feces smells the worst. At that point of awfulness, does it really matter anymore?

Damn youuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I'm never here in time to say something before someone else says it.

But yeah, what he said.

Uwe Boll's movies. I don't know if Alone in the Dark is the worst or Bloodrayne.

Resident Evil and it's sequels were brilliant, the only video game movies I have ever actually enjoyed. I would say that any Uwe Boll movie would be right up the top of the list this thread seems to be creating, so the answer is pretty simple :)

I don't know why, but I found Super Mario Bros. (the movie) so bad it was good. You know, like in olde-time video games where when you get the super-high score it clicks back to zero? It's kinda like that.

But worst movie based off a game? No question, it goes to Max Payne. Max Payne was at best a decent shooter, and now it's up to horrible because of its movie.

The first Resident Evil and the Street Fighter movie with Raul Julia are both horrible. Although the latter has a lot of camp value.

I'm actually going to stick my neck out in defense of the Super Mario Bros movie. While it wasn't exactly a good film (the story and dialogue were trash), it did have some good elements. The set design and costuming at least made it visually interesting, which is more than you can say for most video game adaptations.

Excluding a handful of anime adaptations, however, I don't think I've actually seen a good video game movie.

Doom. I watched it on a plane, and by the time it got to the first person sequence, I was spending more time checking that no one was watching me watch it, let alone watching the film itself.

The first Resident Evil movie was decent, the second one was satisfying because of all the killing (still a bad movie) and number three was just argh.

Too easy to say anything by Uwe Boll, he's only concerned about having fun and earning tax breaks.

Maxy Payne would be my choice, I cringed all through that film.

Some videogame movies may be bad, but to the point of hilarity. Super Mario Bros, Street Fighter 2, and Doom, I'm looking in your direction. And then there are the saddening, earth shatteringly bad train wrecks of film. House of the Dead, Bloodrayne, and Alone in the Dark. And of course all three are from Uwe Boll. I don't expect any videogame movies to be good, though some are passable on some sort of merit, but those three are abominations unto mankind. Dire works than have no redeeming value at all, and somehow each actually features a fairly respected and prominant actor. (Okay, so many Alone in the Dark doesn't, when did anyone in the past decade care about Christian Slater?)

RE1 was passable, RE2 was an atrocity. When they made Nemesis out to have a heart I literally stood up in the theater, shouted "oh what in the f***" and stormed out.

Eragon, its the worst movie based on a game and then its nothing like the book. Translation, you will never find anything worse than it. Sorry. I just had to have a go at it.

Eragon was not originally based on the game ;-.- besides the eragon game and movie came out at the same time.

I hated the Resident Evil movies...
That Alice was a complete Mary Sue
Saying that, Angela in Degeneration is too.
Maybe they have a boner for Mary-Sue's.

I know, but i just wanted to say that the movie and the game were some of the worst things i have ever seen, ( apart from bridge to terrebithia, that movie is just aweful).
