sorry, but I think you were just defeated

I was with 70 bucks in my wallet to Gamezone to buy Fallout 3 GOTY, but then I found out that the cost was 29.95.
When I was cheking if there was anything good, I saw a game with a curious title that fitted right in the price slot. "Hey, how bad can it be?" I thougth. 1 hour after I started playing, I thanked God I never bought a gun.

Come on, say it with me: DUKE NUKEM FOREVER.

Even if it's not the worst game ever NO WAY is it worth 60$ ... maybe 20$ AT BEST!

Other than that - Red Faction Armageddon - I couldn't even install it because it wasn't available in my country (THE FUCK AM I FROM? NARNIA???) So after I downloaded a pirated version of it, I realized it wasn't worth the money ... It's a good game, but it wasn't worth the money I bought it for.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the Wii. Probably one of the biggest disappointments I've encountered, and the worst part about it was that I paid full price for it. -_-

My most recent disappointment would be Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. It was only 10$, but with how many glitches there are combined with the uninventive plot, 1-Dimensional characters, constant frame rate slow downs, and extremely long loading times, it really wasn't worth the 10$ I spent on it.

Aion, I bought it at launch just to find out that my college blocks whatever Aion uses to get online, yet WoW is fine. Then I go home to try it for just a weekend so it wont be a total waste just to find out my computer wasnt good enough to play it. I didnt get to play the game until this summer. About 2 years later.

Rock band 2.

Fun for a while, but not worth the $160 I paid for it.
You paid $160 for one game? Where do live and how awful is the economy there?
I live in America, and the economy is pretty shitty, but the reason it was so expensive was that it came with all the instruments. Also, I bought it used.

The worst game I've ever bought was a DS J-RPG called The World Ends with You that I found in the bargain bin. I could have used that ten dollars to make a royal pig of myself at Wendy's or something, but nah, I apparently was too attached to the prospect of playing yet another Japanese game about whiny fashion-disaster teenagers. There really wasn't any redeeming value in this game to speak of.
Man that's a mad coincidence.
A few years back I bought a game ALSO called The World Ends With You which is, hands down, the best game on the DS system. Also one of my top tier games ever.
Though I am a supporter of differing opinions, I think we can just write this off as a massive coincidence.
I've got the game, and wouldn't say it's the worst purchase evar!, but it just seems... average.

What do you really like about it?
Three very crucial things I would say- No wait, four. Four very crucial things.
Firstly, it has an amazing aesthetic. Admittedly it's very 'tokyo pop' but even in JRPGs thats not a style you see incorporated much, its mostly only used on music CDs.
Secondly, the music. One of the best soundtracks ever in my opinion, especialy the remixes on Youtube.
Third, it's a narrative set up that I found to be unique (at least, until I learned that Shib5ya is essentially the same story but in movie form.)
And most importantly, the combat is very different from every other JRPG game I've played, mostly because it actualy feels like combat. I admit the dual=character system wasn't great, but it was a small blemish.

That's my opinion at least!

This is why I like being a dinosaur - I get most of my games for half a buck, 12 months after release, after reading all the hate mail. looks like i'll be adding brink to the trash list..
I'm not immune to terrible game purchases though - i'll see your CDI and raise you a CD-32, the most godawfulpieceofcrap ever made, with equally bad "games".

dude, there is no need to justify your comments..fallout 3 was a big chunky poo, an insult to its fallout siblings - add level scaling, oblivion cut n' pastes, and a dumbed down for retards combat/equipment system. ^^

Final Fantasy Tactics.. that was.. just.. wow.. to horrible to even want to relive
*has FFT as one of his favorite RPGs of all time*

Get to explainin'.
You cannot look at me with a straight face and say that FFT:WotL is a great game, no one can. The guy at gamestop told me not to buy it that I'd be wasting my money, and I did. I wasted it..
I can easily. It's possesses incredible diversity and replay value, is somewhat fast by SRPG standards, unique battlefields and foes that accompany them, a damn fine OST, great atomsphere (helped no doubt by its musical score), and a plot that has relatively few holes and comes together nicely once you piece together events.

The only faults are its localization typos, that the game implies the Abrahamic God had a second son, that said son was evil (or something, I haven't played the game in a while), the computer AI, the lack of difficulty in later chapters, the occassional random difficulty spike and that battles can take from 20 minutes to an hour.

The only way you can dislike FFT is if you dislike RPGs in general or if you quit in the first chapter, which doesn't really give the game a fair shake.
music aside, the game lacked the capture ability that every final fantasy I've played, and I've gone back to the first ones avalible to us all the way to FF12, skipping 11 because online stuffs blegh.

The movement based, game is not my cup of tea, you may like it, but I don't reguardless what you think of the game, if someone came to me and said "Did you like Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions" I'm afraid it may result in me punching them in the stomach, not that I'm short, I just don't think it's bad enough to require a face punch.
Alright, I suppose. I'll just have to come to terms with that. Not sure what you mean by "capture ability" tho'.

Red Alert 3. Without a doubt the game I regret paying full price for. I wonder if they tried to be as much over the top as possible in terms of acting and characters.
Shed a few tears, started up Red Alert 2 instead.

After recently trying C&C 4 Tiberian Twilight (dear god... it's bad) Red Alert 3 actually became fun to play. Funny how that works.

I'd have to go with Two Worlds. It's not that I think it's bad. In fact I quite like it, but I've only managed to get it to run once. Plus, it's got the most annoying DRM ever made!

(Seriously, how hard is it to download it off steam?! It keeps screwing it up!!)

Baten Kaitos

At full price.

I think this is what went through my considerably younger and considerably more empty head when I made that stellar decision:
"Wow, this box has a guy with blue hair on it! COOL!"
Actually playing the game:
"Oh god, I fucking paid money for this shit."

I can't even attempt to convey the burning hatred I harbour for the game, because it will make me throw my laptop out a window in a fit of rage.

Relatively speaking, probably Dawn of War II/Chaos Rising. Bought them on a Steam sale a while ago, and I don't think I've gotten enough playtime out of them to justify their cost. They're not bad by any means (they're actually pretty good), but the way the campaign is set up stresses me out for some reason. o_O

Warcraft 3 and The Frozen Throne.

Wait! Let me explain!

I purchased both games back when they were released, got them pretty cheap. Well, then I moved, and thought I lost both of my CD-Keys. After purchasing new copies for 30$, I discovered the CD keys are there at my Battle.net.

I hesitate to even call it a game to be fair.

Single worst thing Square Enix have ever done.
WRONG! You forget FFX-2. :p
This is true. I vowed to never buy another Square game without asking a friend about it first.
