Well, I finally did it. I decided to hand over my £5 and buy myself Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. After an hour of playing I came to the conclusion that it was probably the worst £5 I've ever spent.

So, whats the worst game you've ever brought for a small sum of cash?

Mentioned it in the rental topic but:
HAZE for the sum of £4.09 and 2 pieces of extra strong gum

I waited in line for 5 dollars. Best five bucks I ever spent!

In all seriousness, I got a game for FREE from a garage sale. It was some kind of western RPG that apparently sold for $40 at gamestop. And I got it for FREE. And it wasn't even worth the case and disk.

You know what I did with it?

I THREW IT ON THE GROUND!

(Wow... Two references in one post...)

Funny story of inept shop workers. Basically on the day of release i got End war for the low low price of 10 pounds when an exact copy sat next to it for 40 pounds. They let me buy it for some reason, first hand new in box. Not very good. Got into it a few days ago, winning massively and had my entire army nuked, 30 mins down the drain because i WAS WINNING. Found out that when you win the enemy gets a nuke. Then you get the nuke after they use theirs. Roshambo much?

Summoner, for the PS2. Pretty sure it was 4.99-- worst game I've ever tried to play.
Dammit, you beat me to it.

Thing is, it wasn't that the combo system was counterintuitive, or that the graphics (even to me) were ugly. I could understand the former and get used to the latter. No, it was when the game froze for the fourth time that I thought, "...I'm taking this back."

I thought defcon was pretty cool tbh, somewhat like painkiller but you only get it once and you should always have reserves ready to strike as soon as you call in defcon on them (i've only experienced it with the EU forces so i get to shoop da whoop from the heavens)
It also helps to keep waiting and make a swift decisive move to cut off their forces before they have time to call it in

Crazy Frog Racing it was given away they couldn't sell that shit.

Prey for 0.5?
Could have bought piece of paper with that money and it would have been more fun.

Haha, I remember being with you when you bought End War. We took a picture of the two games that were the same with a £30 difference. So funny. :L

OT: I bought Chromehounds for £5. A month later, the online servers shut down, and that was the only thing I was playing it for. Single player sucked.

The Wonderful End of the World. A terrible Katamari clone with the same shit song being played in each level. It was like $10 on steam.
