Ubersoldier, the engine looked like source but was ALOT more intensive on the processor because they had to (honest to god) add bullet physics at a level most shooters don't think about (mainly because you could freeze bullets in the air and they maintained their energy). Also the saving system and the dialogue were terrible. Saves were few and far between, and the characters sounded like they took the developers and handed them a script and said "go for it!"

On-Topic: Yea for me its basically hat the OP said. Everyone had high expectations for Legendary and what with the super awesome pics and vids, but yet it still sucked they must have been pre-rendered.

I'm gonna' go with Dungeon Siege for PC. A dull and poorly-concieved non-story, the shallowest character advancement system I've ever encountered, extrordinarily repetative gameplay, and gnawingly bad voice-overs ("Them Krug done burned down this bridge! Now the onlyway to Stonebridge is that-aways!"). Also, having the player in full control of every character in the party sounds cool, but turns out to be a big mistake. It's a hassle to keep track of all those spearate inventory screens.
The graphics were good for an isometric game, though.
Other than that, I am getting the impression that you played an entirely different Halo 3 than I did. 'Cause what I played had:
Steady Framerate
Graphics look like play-dough
I don't care about rankings
An exiting and varied single player
Good multiplayer maps, just not enough of them.
