Buying AvP for $65 USD. What a mistake...

Also: buying a Wii (on release mind you, midnight release) full stop. I only bought it for Zelda and Mario type exclusives but they made shit all of those :( Hurry up new Zelda game!

Probably selling Battlefront 2, James Bond Nightfire, and Cold Fear. I'd really like to play them again.

Buying an nVidia FX 5500 graphics card. What a piece of....yeah, anyway, talk about a bad gaming-related decision :p
(That WAS several years ago....but DX9 compatible? HAHA yeah right! I mean, it DID run Half-Life 2 in full DX9, but only at 2fps at 1024x768!!!)

One was renting Fight Club (I ended up returning it a day later).
Using store credit (gamestop) and cash to buy Soldier of Fortune: Payback and AVP is another.
However, my biggest gaming related mistake was to buy Vampire Rain.

Selling my PS2... and the 40 games I had with it. I really regret that choice until today.

Buying Dark Sector day one... Not remotely near worth 60 bucks.

On the bright side, I have yet to buy a bad game since then; I've definitly learned my lesson.
I preordered it with next day delivery. So almost spent 75$ and I didn't even get my free hat.
But to top that buying MW2. Worst game I ever bought.

Playing Overlord 2, because the minions have exactly the intelligence they display in cutscenes, and somehow losing Mario Kart: Double Dash.

Buying Hearts of Iron III even if everyone and their mother said it was a buggy unfinished game. I got it on a 50% off deal on Steam, and even with that I still regret it. Ah well, lessons learned I suppose. Sometimes reviewers and loud people on internet forums can actually be correct in their rants, reviews, and ravings.

Buying the Spore Galactic Edition.

Also, this is like the third or fourth thread in the last week that is exactly like this. I know that it's really annoying when people tell you to use the search bar, but seriously. There's no way you could miss these threads.

Selling my SNES with Killer Instinct, Super Mario Bros & Super Mario World for my N64 with Goldeneye. If I just waited a couple weeks I could've got the N64 and kept my SNES.

Worst game purchase I can remember was quite recent. I picked up the expansion for Dragon age, awakening, which I found endlessly boring, and to be frank, abit stupid. Ruined my impression of the game in total and will probably lead to me questioning the purchase for a most expected sequel.

Probably waiting so long to get Demon's Souls. It's a great game, and I waited months to get it.
Waiting was for me the most profitable option. I got the bargain edition first day it came out (in asia). There are times I wish I would have picked it up before tho, as you are totally right, it's a great game!

Pre-ordering Too Human. But just buying it, mark you, pre-ordering it. Don't think I'll ever live that one down.

buying too human... that game was practically an insult to anyone with brain functions above that of a blade of grass. i played that "game" for about 15 minutes, and then cried myself to sleep
