S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. By far the weakest link in the series, it's even buggier than the first game, and not nearly as atmospheric due to the over-abundance of NPCs in the game world. It has some good ideas and the first stage (the swamps) is awesome, and so is the new Red Forest, but the rest of the levels are either rather boring re-hashes of areas from the first game, or very linear and poorly paced battlegrounds that feel unfinished (Limansk and the old hospital).

Dawn of War Soulstorm sucked, and Dawn of War II Chaos Rising wasn't all I thought it would be, and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl were both bad.

I know Fanboys are gonna kill me, Final Fantasy 13, it was awesome in Graphics and music...but it was too much, Cut Scenes too long, the characters seem to just be bad copys of previous characters, I mean come on, and the worst part is that they don't use the Original Final Fantasy Opening....come on.

For everyones favorite series, there is always a particular game that people seem to dislike or even hate. In your opinion, what games don't live up to their predecessors?

I personally always hated Phantom Hourglass, the fact that it was a sequel to Wind Waker my favorite Zelda game even made me more angry.
Never get a 3D Zelda game on a DS, thats my rule of thumb, 2D, go for it. 3D, stick to the console

Spirit Tracks wasn't too bad. Didn't ever get around to completing it either though.

The problem I had was that it was too easy, ,those old 2D games (Oracil (SP) of Seasons and Time) were hard, but these 3D DS titles are too easy for me, and dull...but I will say this about Spirit Tracks, it had more humor in it, and I loved Zelda's reaction when she found out why the little demon dude took her body HAHAHAHAHAHA

Sorry, just....sorry.

Granted, my views on the series aren't exactly popular, hell, my favorite in the series is actually Lara Croft Tomb Raider : Angel Of Darkness..........<.<;
Oh dears. My opinion is yours reversed.

As for me... The original Myst just WASN'T AS GOOD as all of its sequels... Uru included. There. I committed blasphemy. Please don't burn me.

Silent Hill series: Probably Origins or even Homecoming.
Prince of Persia: The Emo Warrior within pissed me off.
Sonic the Hedgehog: Basically everything since the Genesis days.
Age of Empires: #3 sucked ass. Fucking Americans... So boring.

I've played that game... I don't remember that line, nor do I understand it. Not even a smile. Therefore... the clip doesn't speak for itself. :p

I disliked Dawn Of War 2.
Agreed. For RTS I don't like a Micro-Management ONLY game. Base building and massive armies are what make RTS fun in the first place.

Sons of Liberty was really, really bad compared to the rest of the Metal Gear Solid games.
Haha and that's the only MGS game I've played. Maybe that's why I really don't give a shit about the series?

Deus Ex: Invisible War.

Horribly dumbed down and clunky as hell. Nowhere near the quality of the first game. Hopefully Human Revolution will correct things and be more like the first.

I would say Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, but due to my never ending love of the Jak and Daxter series I do not actually believe in this terrible installment of the game, despite it being on my game shelf. But if it did exist then I would consider it a blasphemy to the entire series of such great titles and I would hope the developers are haunted by demons every time they close their eyes for causing my faith in humanity to fade with their terrible game. So it's a good thing it never existed.

Call of duty 3. That game was nails on chalkboard bad. Though the multiplayer was surprisingly well balanced and not to shabby. MW2 was well designed, and had a decent story if you over analyzed it and filled in the plot holes yourself with story that makes sense, and the Cods 1, 2, and 4 were simply amazing.

But seriously, fuck that game. *puts on flame suit

Quite frankly, without Infinity Ward, Treyarch would have never made it passed a mediocre Flash gaming company.

Metroid Prime:Hunters is probably the Worst game in the Metroid Series.
Though its anything but a Horrible Game.

I really liked it, it had its week points, mostly the Cluttered Bottom Screen that messed with the Controls and the Bosses.
It was the Same 2 two Bosses the ENTIRE GAME.
Just upgraded Versions each time...
Though the Final boss was fun.

But it was also a Good FPS on the DS with a interesting Story, simple controls once you get used to them, cool Weapons, and fun Multiplayer.
Nintendo really got lazy with the bosses in it. It was okay and I got it for free so I won't complain too much about it.

OT: I actually didn't enjoy Pokemon Diamond/Pearl as much as Ruby/Sapphire. It was okay but I didn't like the villains or the story as much. That and my rival was a nice guy. You can't give dickish names to guys who are nice!

CoD 3, MW 1 and MW 2, can probably add Black Ops to that as well, although, I can't say for sure yet.
Say what you want about Modern Warfare 2 and CoD 3, but it puts a bad taste in my mouth when some one insults CoD4. That game was next to perfect, what with the same tone and gameplay mechanics as the last 2, it was awesome. The idea to take it out of WWII period was very smart, seeing how World War 2 games were now beyond repetitive.

I couldn't help but notice you left CoD WaW off that list. How do you hate CoD4 but like CoD WaW? Whats the name of your condition?

I'll admit that Bioshock 2 was not as fresh as Bioshock 1 and that I was expecting a little more... (I still loved it, though. Everybody here seems to treat it like it was the biggest turd to ever be shat out by a studio, but it was still Bioshock. I guess people are just hard to please here.)

Brawl was a pretty big slap to the face for me...

The original Paper Mario has not held up well. At least not compared to Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario.
