Internet. We are all hooked up to it and in many cases we usually have the worst ISP's.
It could be a for a number of reasons.
Bad customer service.
Lies.
Whatever, tell me, what is the worst Internet Service Provider (Company that hooks you up to the webz) you have ever used?

Comcast. Terrible customer service and crappy hardware (modem died a couple times and had to be replaced...even when it was "working" I'd have to reboot it about once a week just to get service).

Talk Talk. They do the bare minimum. The absolute bare minimum. Also their customer care is non-existent.

BT is terrible, but then again, it is BT though so that's to be expected really. Terrible customer services (talking to someone who can speak clear english is rare), and they have a knack for charging you hidden fees such as reconnection charges, and charges to 0800 numbers.

Those greedy buggers, i say.

I wish i went with Talk Talk, or Sky.

Nope. With TalkTalk at the moment, you don't even talk to a person, just a machine....

BT.

They took 6 months to connect us to the internet. 6 fucking months!

The HomeHub is a crock of shite, and their customer support is in fucking India so if when there's a problem, it takes every effort to understand what they are saying, and inevitably nothing will happen until 4 phone calls later (which you've paid through the nose for) you will speak to someone in England who actually has a clue and can solve your problem.

Not that it's BT India's fault it's just that their English isn't exactly perfect, and they are just reading from a troubleshooting screen, even when I try every single toubleshoot I can before I ring customer support.

Dear god, That's terrible!

At least with BT you have at least something resembling human speech.

Eircom. It cuts out every 15 minutes or so, and the speed is severely limited. But they're the biggest provider in the country, so they get away that shit.

SuddenLink.

Everything about them is just plain bad. Slower than average speeds, Down more often than most providers, insanely bad/stupid policies. Its the worst ive ever seen and the worst part is, I am just a few months to moving to a place where they are the only ISP.

I don't know. I don't remember too many explicit problems...

Virgin media is kind of half and half.

Getting anything installed takes forever, their customer service is... eh. not great, but not the worst ever...

But what makes up for it is that when all of that stuff is dealt with, everything works, and the connection speeds are generally just as fast as advertised.
(And if you're in the UK, you know getting the speed you paid for is pretty rare.)

AOL, slow speed, and they don't let you unsubscribe to the service, we had to cut them off at the bank, and they tried to charge us the subscription after we disconnected.

I'd have to say EarthLink's Dialup service.... Even for dialup it was pretty terrible, constant disconnects and whatnot. It's amazing I was ever able to play even Runescape on it. My next worst ISP is the one i've used ever since upgrading from dialup... a 256k connection with CenturyTel (known as CenturyLink now, apparently). It's just unbearably slow but for now I cant afford to upgrade it... 33 KB/S MAX download speed. XD
