Doesn't have to be a major point in the story, it could just be a throwaway line. Like mine.

James: You're back?!

Zeal: Yes! Sir Goldman has given me a second chance!

*After the boss battle and Zeal dies*

James: Remember, there are no such things as second chances!

- House of the Dead 2

It was so hilariously bad, my friend and I just started cracking up when he said it. (Especially because James struck a pose while saying it.)

So...what're yours?

Good guys pretty much don't exist. If they have power enough to fix things, more likely than not they're going to fuck things up. Learned that from Red Dead Redemption.

That thing you just scrounged and saved for and were finally able to spend your entire savings on will most likely turn out to be a piece of junk waste of money.

If you murder a small number of people, but generally do things to oppose an evil overlord you were going to do anyway, those small murders mean nothing in the end and you will still be a saint. - Every game with a karma meter everywhere

After you've worked hard, and earned the cash and bought the epic gear, someone will show up and ask "hey would u like this free gun/Armour?"

Guns solve any problem.
Wait, did you say the worst?
Joining the military is completely worth it.

Left 4 Dead: It's okay necessary to gun people down in cold blood if they're sick.

Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy: Peace is the way of the Jedi, unless they're Grans or Stormtroopers, then crush their throats..

Serious Sam: Violence is safe for kids, if the monsters explode with flowers, fruit, candy and sparkly stars.

Command & Conquer: Generals: A suicide bomber is not a heinous criminal, he's just a unit.

This one was taught by my little sister: Never, EVER, use your older brother's memory card with ALL of his Final Fantasy saves as a birthday present for him...especially if you've wiped the memory card of all data.

He wasn't mad, I don't think. I think he just sunk into depression for a while. Having 100% or close-as-can-be saves for FFVII/VIII/IX/Tactics and a few other RPGs lost is...saddening. She meant well, but still.

Edit: D'oh...IN a video game...well, does this still count in any fashion?
