Right well people have been doing a lot of bitching about love interests in movies lately. So I've decided to take the hint and make a whole thread exlusivley based around the most hated love interests in movies. To clarify, just movies.
My choice honestly goes to the majority of the girls in Romantic Comedies (*shudder*) who are supposed to be 'nice funny girls' but usually come across as homoginised plot devices as opposed to actual characters, something that exists to make the plot go forward and that's it, but that pick for me is too obvious and way too broad.
The one love interest of whom all my hatred has been concentrated upon and has been a searing rip of burning fury that has consumed my soul piece by piece has to go to Padme from the prequel Star Wars trilogy. I mean I love Natalie Portman as an actress but thanks to George Lucas we are given an annoying 2D character with awkward romance dialouge with someone of whom there is no chemistry.
