Worst luck in a game.

What is your worst gaming moment?
Mine would be in Fallout3, walking halfway across the map and getting mauled by three deathclaws. Or, Falling into deathclaw sanctuary at level 5, (I got my rewards though,)

For some reason Mario Kart springs to mind here... racing really well, being in first the whole way then several blue shells or something similar smash into me and knock me into fifth or something equally as bad. Seems to happen a lot more with the newest one for some unknown reason.

if you play FIFA 09 enough, you'll definitely have bad luck. like a long kick towards the goal that your goalie misjudges and lets bounce into the goal, one shot hitting both posts, the computer slide tackling an opposing player from behind in the penalty box, earning a red card and giving the other team a free kick in a tie game, in the 119th minute. yeah, bad shit happens, but when it goes good it couldn't be better.

Any car racing games that has "catch up".. Drive like a god all the way to the end, crash in the goal post, everybody passes you and you end up last..

On CoD:WaW I had a checkpoint in the middle of a gang of enemies meaning I respawned then was shot into pieces in seconds.

Valkiria Chronicles, after dodging mortars and searchlights in the stealth mission, I am about to finish off the last shock trooper when my hand slips cancels the attack and he mauls my party.

Hmm, stupid french kids on Halo 3 split up my party in a 5v5 TDM. So I was driving round my 2 friends on the enemy team, helping them kill my own team.

My team FINALLY realised this, shot at rocket at me and my warthog flew and crushed 3 of them against a wall. Unlucky lulz.

Left 4 Dead, Expert mode Campaign. My mates and I ended up yelling at each other, after a few too many friendly fire incidents, and being screwed over by the Tank, and one guy smashing the boxes I was hiding on. We decided we'd all suck together in a real zombie apocalypse.

I'm not sure Left 4 Dead can generally be counted as it is designed to screw over the players as much as possible on Expert mode.

Although I was once playing with some people on normal and Francis got hit by a falling dustbin whilst on 1HP black & white, killed him instantly. That was damn unlucky.

The people on the receiving end of any of those. MY personal worst luck came in the form of Left 4 Deads AI director. Just every single game is unlucky if I haven't sacrificed the required amount of virgins to him.

Forza Motorsport 2, right at the end of a gruelingly long race. I was in first, but not by all that much. Halfway through the last lap, i took a turn too fast and plunged into the wall. Every other car zoomed by me, and i had absolutely no chance of victory. Unlucky.

Definitely in Rugby 08. There was this one match where EVERYTHING went wrong. All my kicks and drop goals hit the posts, my hooker caused me to lose all my scrums, I lost about 50% of rucks even when I 4 players in the ruck and my opponent 1 or 2, my useless hooker (again) gave away all my lineouts, one of my Wings and my Second Row got injured... it was unbearable.

I can't remember the worst, but I remember the first time I found out that cars in Fallout 3 exploded when shot.

It was that one town...Minefield?
I started getting sniped at, so I took cover behind a car. The car took a few shots, and it started to flame, but I was busy trying to aim (scoped revolver hooray) and once I realized I couldn't see the guy, I noticed the near-exploding car...and moved just in time to catch most of the blast and land right on a mine.

The same thing happened to me. I wasn't aware of the mines when I started running from Arkansas the sniper. Beep-beep-BOOM! Plus my character had an Endurance of 4 at that time and his "armour" was the Armoured Vault 101 Suit Moira gives you if you're nice to her. This did not a happy combination make.

Having no less than 5 grenades land at my feet in STALKER Clear Sky, in the only piece of cover not occupied by something that wanted me dead.
