The worst piece of marketing drivel I have ever heard is a tie between two quotes concerning the same game:

"When you press a bu'on, something awesome has to happen! Button-awesome, now connected!"
"Think like a general, fight like a Spartan!"

So, what's your pick for most mind-numbingly idiotic marketing nonsense you've ever heard?

When the wii fit was announced at E3 "My body, MY BODY IS READY!"

Although if you saw the actual anouncement it was just a passing comment and isnt nearly as sexual or hillarious as the pics that people made of it.

Other than that, probably any add for tv shows on 7mate (if you live in australia) They can get pretty painfull.

Apparently Dr. Pepper has a new, low-calorie drink called "Dr. Pepper TEN". The slogan?

Great job marketing team.

My favourite is from Paulton's Park (a kids theme park) with the line

"It's too much fun for one day"

My laziness instantly took over with 'I won't bother then'.

"If *insert mobile phone make I've forgotten the name of here* were a dinosaur, it would be Awesomesaurus."

Somebody should have told them that memes only work on the internet.

"Without your information, who are you?"

An advertisement for data storage or something Apple I cannot remember but I really disliked the implication that without your digital information that you are nothing. At least that is what they were implying.

Hosted a radio show for over 25 years, quite a lot of people know who he is but admittedly from the older generation. ;)

A story my marketing teacher told us this year:

I don't now the exact line in taiwaneese, but when Pepsi started maketing in taiwan, they let some employee translate their slogan (Come alive with the Pepsi Generation), problem was:

This employee was of taiwaneese ancestory, but couldn't speek it well, so it came out like: "Pepsi will bring your ancestors back from the dead."

McDonalds 'I'd Hit That poster.

They admitted later they didn't know what Hit That meant, they only heard it somewhere

A slogan on a Mc Donalds drink cup: 'Thirsty Fun!'. I was unaware dehydration was an enjoyable experience.

A slogan for a Zoo "It's alive!". No shit. I thought I was going to a necrozoo!

I'd pay money to see that, if it's run by necromancers!

How about you change that from "Just Dragon Age 2" to "Everything done by EA in the past three years"

The last one is a little iffy though, because I love the song. But the trailer itself is still very misleading.

My favourite one was a sponsorship type deal for a grotesque reality show that paid for women to have cosmetic surgery to look, as the title of the show suggests, '10 Years Younger'. The show was sponsored by a cosmetic cream of the same name that claimed to make women look "10 Years Younger". If that shit worked then we would't need the goddamn show in the first place!
