What, in your opinion is the worst minigame ever put into an otherwise good game? I love Okami, it looks stunning and plays great. But then, you reach the digging minigame.

How I loath this stupid sequence. You have to protect some moron NPC from wandering into the death traps, and you're also on a timer, and the NPCs don't know how to turn around and just wait for you to make a safe path. Its infuriating.

So what is the worst minigame you've ever played?

Blitzball from FFX
I spend HOURS of my life playing that minigame but when I look back now, I can't say I enjoyed that.

Gah...I hated that part of Mass Effect 2...
Though it was fun probing Uranus. "Really, Commander?"
Wait... That post just went somewhere horrible.

Probing itself, though, would not have been so bad it if wasn't so extremely slow and didn't make my hand hurt (I played on the PC).

No oblivion speech mini-game? I'm disappointed.
It wasn't that bad... the first three times I did it.
I have to say, though, the lockpicking minigame was more frustrating.

Without a question, my most hated minigame is from Alpha Protocol
God, it made my eyes hurt. And then you turn around...and have to do it again on a different computer. You have to do it soooo freaking much if you want to complete all your objectives. I like the game, but this shit was terrihorrific.

Most hacking 'mini-games' tend to suck.

However...
FF9's card game was total crap, confused the hell out of me - made me miss FF8's game so much more.

God I hated that minigame as well. It's even worse if you play it on a small tv like I did.The lockpicking minigame was a pain as well. The triggers on an Xbox360 controller are simply not designed for making small subtle adjustments

Too true. I got used to the lockpicking minigame after a while, but there's one during the final mission where the time is ridiculously short. I gave it a dozen tries before finally giving up.

And I'm on a small TV as well. I had to look away from the TV after each hacking minigame just to give my eyes something easy to focus on. It made me cross-eyed. I like the game enough to play it again, but I am dreading the minigames.

"Welcome to the most interesting and funny level in the game! Oh, and by the way, you won't be able to actually finish it unless you have this random item that you never would have thought to buy, and if you don't have it, have fun going back to the starting area and running around for half an hour digging up 800 arrowheads to buy it, completely breaking the flow of the game!"

Not cool, Psychonauts.

All of the minigames from the first Mario Party that required rapid control stick rotations, simply because it caused millions of players to suffer from palm blisters.

I don't know if I am just bad at it, but the hacking minigame from Bioshock. I could never beat it. :(
