I am surprised no one has mentioned the third X-men. I thought the first two were awesome. But some of the things in the third one just made me go what?
I mean they kill cyclops and Xavier. Couldn't Charles have used his awesome psychic power to not get obliterated?

Basically everything they did with the Predator series after the original and everything they did to the alien series after Aliens. Alien vs Predator movies get extra bile for screwing up two good film series and one great video game.

Thank you, you've been on this site long enough to know how to use the spoiler box. I was actually interested in seeing that film, as well as the first two (I believe in an 'each to his/her own' policy). As for my answer, I say the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

I would say the last LOTR film because it just took FUCKING AGES to finish. I was DESPERATE to go to the toilet towards the end but didn't want to get up because I thought that at any minute it was going to finish.
Here's the problem with the ending of Return of the King: with as much as was cut out from the story, it simply should have ended with "ring destroyed, everyone's okay, Aragorn crowned as king, the end." Without the corruption of the Shire, the departure from the Grey Havens simply feels tacked on for no reason. Granted, I don't thnk anyone would have wanted to add yet another hour on to the end of the movie.

The scary movie series, the first one was ok, but everything after that was just horrible.

The Shreks. And I haven't even seen number three. They're supposed to be bringing out a fourth, but during the adverts of the third where Cameron Diaz shouts 'I'M PREEEEEGGGGNAAAANT' I just knew it was going to be bad.

And dear merciless god, the next Cloverfield movie. Which supposedly isn't even an actual sequal. Meaning it's going to be just as shitty as the first movie and less innovative. If that's even physically possible.

I think you're forgetting batman and robin. Kind of a sequel, although not really.

The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Now, I did enjoy the first two Mummy films (yeh, you heard me), but seriously this? Even ignoring the fact that it didn't have any actual freaking mummies in, there was the fact that the little brat kid from the second film was now, what, maybe around 10 years younger than his dad?

Then at the end of the film, we find out that somehow, "mummies" have been spotted in Peru (was it Peru? I don't recall). Ok, maybe my history, but I didn't know they also preserved their dead in a similar way to the Egyptians there as well. Perhaps, in the fifth film we'll have American Mummies....or French Mummies...Latvian Mummies, even? Hell, I might actually run with this...!

Indiana Jones 4 was the greatest disappointment I've ever watched
Also horrible: Matrix 2+3, Battle Royale 2, Batman Forever/Robin

All Disney sequels . . . Lion King 2, Little Mermaid 2 . . . they will do anything to make money!
Yep this pretty much sums it up.
I concur.

I also think that the star wars prequels(1,2,3) were worse than the original trilogy(4,5,6).

Highlander 2 is almost inarguably the all time worst sequel ever made. It was so bad that the producers actually retconned the whole story line.....
Maybe, but it has one of my favourite movie quotes.

"ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you dont take it out and use it, it's going to rust."

Seriously how can they even make a second one . . . the end of the first one is him falling out of a helicopter that is in the sky! No one would survive that!
Jason Fucking Statham can.
Ah I lol'd because it's true.

I have a couple I think are equally head-smashingly terrible.

Speed 2 was a festering pile of crap. I had respect for Willem Defoe and Sandra Bullock before that. Not anymore.

Blues Brothers 2000 sucked a big one as well. I know loads of people found this movie great but it just flat out sucked aside from the cameos. It wasn't funny, the story was rubbish and the music wasn't that great either.

And as I recently mentioned in another film related thread, Episode II of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Some of the worst acting I've ever seen, one of the most contrived and plain stupid plots I've come across and making Darth Vader a whiney, angsty pussy. No film that does that can possibly be good.

Speed 2 came to my mind instantly when I read the thread title. The lack of its mention makes me believe its in humanity's best interest that such a craptacular marseterpiece remains locked in my horrible memories.

And what about the 3rd Mummy movie ? Seriously, even if all the mummies were Jet Li, it would be as epic as watching flies take a dump.
