It's either Baby from Justin Bieber, or Linkin Park's new single. They become more of sellouts as time goes on. I wish they would go back to their roots (2 albums ago) and make good music again.

Visions from Rock Band 2. I can't remember the groups name and I don't care to find out. Not only was the song awful deep growling (by a women!) it was also really really hard. It's actually harder on hard difficulty because there may be less notes (not by much) but there's no bloody hammer ons.

Metallica

Metallica is a great band. Why?

a)The singer sings well.
b)The riffs are awesome and upredictable not to mention fast as hell.
c)The drums are most of the time fast and provide a good beat through-out the song.
d)The music is deep and original.(Especially some of their old songs, post-Kill em All is OK too)
e)The band members as individual musicians are good technically compared to most other metal bands. (They sound like guitar masters compared to most other metal bands).
f)Did I mention that the temp of the songs is fast?

Metllica is awesome. They have always been great and they will always be great.
Agreed, dude, but this thread is about the worst music ever... Nickelback, perhaps?
I am so confused.....why are you two arguing if you both agree that Metallica is a great band. I also agree with you. I hate death metal though.

So you are misquoting me and blatantly making up stuff since you can't argue reasonably about what I said?

Oh well.
I only argue reasonably with reasonable arguments.

All rap and hip-hop music.

But then again, i don't consider it music. I guess i can't really stand Heavy (Death) Metal, but i still consider it music.

Wow, really? So you can't even bring up points of argument against something that is unreasonable? Or even point out the unreasonable points? You sir, are quite the debater.

I don't like people like you very much. People that cherry-pick the arguments that come their way and only respond to something they feel they are bullet-proof about, never leaving themselves open to get educated or see the side from a different view-point.

"I see something I don't like. Either I ridicule it in my own mind, or I simply ignore it."

How is me picking subjects from a-d about Metallica and why I think they are shit not reasonable? You can answer the subject points one by one, giving examples that may prove that maybe Lars isn't that bad of a drummer. "No no, I can't therefor the argument is unreasonable."
Ask any music educated person if they think Metallica is good music, or ask any singer if they think James Hetfield is a good singer.
Hell, compare James to other metal singers. Compare Metallica to other metal bands. Not the same hard rock/heavy metal grind bands that try to imitate Metallica, but different bands. Halloween, even Manowar have more things going for them than Metallica.

I think you just have a shallow taste in music and you lack the knowledge to find anything to point out that I'm wrong.

Prove me wrong, I'm only guessing here.

My point was that you posted an entirely subjective opinion, which could easily be exchanged by simply changing the words around. Music is a matter of taste and opinion... sure, some people like total crap and some people actually like good music. But it doesn't matter since it's all taste anyway. You're probably never going to change anyone's mind about music.

I enjoy Metallica. Their music up until '...And Justice For All' is solid. Unfortunately, they sold out and lost it. Their music after that, with exception to a few songs on the self-titled album, just wasn't their usual brand of quality. Metallica is one of those bands that burned out rather than faded away. They just refuse to admit it... James Hetfield can't sing anymore (although I'll take his vocals over growling any day) and their songwriting is nothing without Cliff Burton.

There are plenty of educated people who like Metallica and there are plenty who don't. It's all opinion. One of my music professors, however, is a fan and he's told me that he believes Metallica's composition is great, as in complex. The melody-harmony balance is superb.

Lars Ulrich is a crappy drummer though. I will admit that without a second's hesitation. He's also a capital-class douche bag. But back in the day, the other band members were solid. These days though... yeah, they're aren't the class act they were.

Any metal, rap, or.... yeah. Just metal and rap. Those are some of the worst music genres I've ever heard yet.

Seeking an argument here on this subject is clearly flawed then.

Thanks for the time, I stand corrected.
This isn't the kind of thread I take very seriously... It's all opinion, but fun to talk about. I hope I didn't come across as too rude though...

See you in the trenches, good sir.

Oh and Manowar is awesome.

Passenger of Shit. The name doesn't do it justice. It's so bad it's almost an artform. If you've heard the Marx Scream, imagine that, as a musical remix, as sung by a pedophile with severe Tourettes Syndrome.

MIND THE VOLUME, it's obscenely loud.

Oh, god, I really hate to give bad music attention. Then again...

<youtube=wngyXhTx4pc>

How the FUCK is this considered good to some people?! What positive points could this song possibly have?!
