It's two words.
Run and Escape. The game itself is telling you to leave before you get started.
By the gods, that's brilliant.
I'll have to remember that one for when my friend tries to convert me from Guild Wars to Runescape for the fifteenth time.

meh i played runescape 4 awhile but then i got WOW. My worst online experience was when playin Gunz on the island and all the people where standing around the gorge flipping people in. so i backed off and stuck bullets up their bottoms and then they got mad at me for "not playing proper" because apparently they wanted 2 play only flipping 4 some retarded reason.

What is "flipping"?

I was just chatting with a friend and then he referred me to BME Pain Olympics. I haven't slept for a week after watching it.

I was part of a CoD4 clan for a bit. They ran mature servers and had sizable traffic. Having their tag in front of my name made me feel like I was on the inside of an exclusive club. And then the drama started. One of the admins started going on these expansive forum rants. The members weren't contributing enough time or donations. We were all babies. If it wasn't for her, the whole place would fall apart. We didn't appreciate all the effort she was putting in to the site and servers. And all of these rants were delivered in neon pink caps.
It got to the point where she was threatening wide scale bannings and removals.

It finaly came crashing down for me when I got an IM announcing that if I didn't start piching in more that I'd be banned. Which wouldn't have been to bad except that 2 days before she had told a group of us that we were her favorites and safe. So, after 3 months of constant playing, donations, and time in servers just monitoring for behavior I was told that I wasn't doing enough. It was right about then that I decided to do a whole lot less. It was all for the best, I'd become immersed. Good Riddance.

Resistance 2 multiplayer all together, i have never seen a online multiplayer game that features so many different ways to kill someone in one hit. There's 2 ways from the Pulse cannon, 2 from the Laark, tagging with the bullseye, the 40mm from the carbine, the auger which shoots through walls and can bring up a shield, a mini gun with a shield, the splicer which shoots saw blades and can also be used like a chainsaw, or you can just poke someone in the back and they'll fall over in agony. Then there's 3 types of grenades and a the sniper rifle which are slightly tolerable 1 hit kills

All while the maps are completely unbalanced, the server continually kicks you, the matchmaking system is retarded, co-op is repetitive, and the game modes suck(WTF is this core control crap? Bring back CTF!)

There are 2 reasons why that's ironic;1) I'm actually very good at R2 with just over a 3k/d so it's weird why i hate it. 2)The prequel, Resistance:Fall of Man, was a shining gem that made the ps3 and became the system seller... obviously because it was the only ps3 game at the time but shut up it's awesome.

R2 lost it's identity, the series had some cool inovative features in the first game such as the weapon wheel, the creative and almost ratchet/clank-like weapons; but in the second game, it tried to be R:FOM, CoD4 and Halo3 all at once and inevitabley fell apart.

Sweet! Self-duplication! I don't know if I could put up with that, though...I can barely stand myself as it is. Another dozen of me? I'd be even farther out of my mind than I already am.

Let's face it - forums are all to often a place where people can air opinions and say things in a manner they'd be too scared to do in real life because they'd get decked. Humans are all number one fans of their own opinions! The worst stuff I've come across was bad just because it made you weep for the future of humanity. All I ask for is a little moderation...some reasonable, well argued discussion...or failing that, people thinking twice about that snarky retort, rather than just relying on the anonymity of the internet to protect them from the consequences of their own cowardice.

Yea, I had problems with Guild Wars too, but it's not as bad as five account hijackings.

I have a rather... "slow" computer (don't ask me about its RAM and all that bull) and the little Lag-indicator dot thing in the bottom right of the Guild Wars HUD would almost always be red for me, meaning I'm lagging big time. It would usually go from yellow to red unprovoked, and it would stay that way for a while. The switch would occur usually without me knowing. I would be running with my friends, and since the lag just sends them into a straight forward path, I would think nothing of it until they smack into a wall. 60 seconds later, I'm a mile and a half behind my party with half of my health and 6 enemies surrounding me. I no longer play Guild Wars.

EDIT: Whoops. Failed Quote. See Below.

I was talking to one of my friends yesterday, about how his Guild Wars account kept being hijacked (this was the fifth time in a row). Eventually, the conversation turned into this subject. I'm interested to see if there are other stories like ours.

I spent years playing the WC3 custom map DotA, encountering all manner of horrible people. I encountered people who used exploits, people who talked immense amounts of trash, people who would leave if you killed them once (at least one in every game), people who would leave because you 'took their lane', people who griefed, people who would steal your items, people who would abuse shared control, people who maphacked, people who used custom programs to remove you from their games (and subsequently would ban you for 'leaving'), racists, homophobes, 11-year-olds off of their Ritalin, people with 300+ ping, people unable to type coherent words, the list goes on. I sometimes wonder if sitting through all of that was worth it for that one good game that came around once every couple of weeks.

But, in all those years, nothing could compare to what happened to me almost a year ago. Totally unrelated to gaming online, I had someone get ahold of of my Facebook password. This person subsequently posted links to porn on all of my friends walls. This could have been so much worse, but luckily Facebook suspended my account before it got too out of hand. The clean up and explaining I had to do took me hours, and I have since all but given up on social networking sites.

Strange. Last night he told me he was muddled and didn't know how he felt.

He really really does like you, he's just feeling numb and dulled at the moment. He's also finding it hard to stop reffering to himself in third person ^^.
