Book: The Twilight books. I can say this because I'm sure they got worse as they went on. I refuse to read them because I am straight and my IQ is larger than my shoe size. Vampires don't fucking sparkle! They kill people, fuck each other and get killed by Blade.. No glitter is involved in any of those activites.
In that vampires don't actually exist anyway, it's not fair to saw so and so got them wrong.

The books were awful, yes, but that's a seperate issue.

...

Oh, nobody mentioned the Anita Blake books?

She's a necromancer that raises the dead to ask them about their wills and stuff, she also kills rogue vampires and has to deal with werecreature politics...and the books became increasingly about her having sex all the time.

Battlefield 3 was not a good sequel at all.

LOL i kid. worst sequel is, Bioshock 2. it just went through a whole void of incomprehensibility as to why the first one was so good.

All the Police Academy sequels.

The only redeeming quality they have for me is Michael Winslow.

Fable 3. made me lose interest in this series completely. Although that is a lie, I found the later dlc quite enjoyable ...

And GTA4 with its realism makes me prefer saints row now. I cannot for the life of me play GTA4

Fable 3, when it was announced I was so happy I was jumping up and down excitedly, because of Fable 3 when Journey was announced my response was to compare myself to a longtime Sonic Fan, saying I knew I'd probably be let down but I was somehow interested in it anyway (although the Sonic series has improved at least).

Film: Indy 4 (Aliens in an indy movie? Stop screwing with us Lucas. And spialberg why did you not stop him?)
Yet you're fine with the power of god melting Nazi faces in Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Come on man, I love Indy films but that is pretty silly.

The missus was nagging me to put the Anita Blake books on this list. Never read them myself, but she tells me about them all. In intricate detail :p

She used to get all of them as they came out but has finally given up after book 20.

OT;

Film; Highlander 2
Book; Bladerunner 2. Yes someone wrote a sequel, and yes it was awful
Game; I'd say Front Mission Evolved simply because it wasn't a turn based strategy anymore, and there were a lot of missed chances in regards to directing in a lot of the cutscenes. (For example; you escape a city where an orbital elevator is crashing down and The game doesn't even show it happening. Seriously, the characters look to the horizon and a small dust cloud wafts over them.)

I can end this thread right now.

Supreme Commander 2.

And for the bonus round...

Sword of the Stars 2.
Stronghold 3.

What do I win?

Film: Probably the Star Wars prequels or all the Alien sequels(minus Aliens).
Game: Probably Starcraft 2. I know it is a very popular game but it let me down on a lot of levels and had a lot of hype. Crysis 2 was pretty terrible also. Masters of Orion 3 also.
Books: Absolutely Iron Angel and God of Clocks, the sequel to Scar Night by Alan Campbell. A great premise turned into a piece of shit.

Film: Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (or 3 or both really)

Book: Breaking Dawn (Twilight and the others were bad enough - I read them to raise money for charity, I didn't do it out of interest in case you're wondering)

Game: Kane and Lynch 2 (This one was root canal)

Lion King 3, completely ruins the first one.

And I watched the Jurassic Park films again recently, the first was still awesome but in the other 2 I noticed so many things wrong that I never noticed before.
