I think it was that one song, it had some girl complaining about how this other girl "stole her look". I can't remember what that was. All I know is that it had the lyrics

I just found myself dumbfounded at how bad those lyrics alone were.

You know, I'd have to agree with smokeraven. I can't stand the Beatles. They were weak vocally, their lyrics left much to be desired, and I can't help but think that they're highly overrated. I do enjoy a couple of their songs, but for the most part I find them merely blah. Lennon's solo career trumps the Beatles for me, however, in being completely bland and forgettable.

Would you care to do better?
When you have sold more than a billion records then you can criticize.

On the one hand, I greatly disagree that the Beatles were weak vocally and had bad lyrics. You want both, listen to Peter Laughner.

On the other, just because you've sold billions of records, doesn't mean you're good. Popular maybe, but not good.

Followed closely by Sheryl Crow and that fucking car-wash song she did.. the one about her and some dude named bill or billy or mac or buddy who're drinking beers at noon on tuesday while office workers are washing their cars on their lunchbreaks. That one. Makes me want to punch a stereo every time I have the misfortune of hearing part of it.

I'll throw almost everything released to radio since 1998 on the list too, just because I'm starting to get old-man-music syndrome & have had to start going back further and further in time to find music I can listen to without getting annoyed or bored

I will say that I get fucking sick of perfectly decent songs, Crazy In Love being a good example, one of the greatest Motown-style soul songs of the modern age, being ruined by some self important producer spitting his verbal shit over the bridge. It seems to happen any time some female band or artist has a song out. Like the arrogant fucks have decided the song is nothing without the pointless witterings of a male.

Also Timbaland can fuck off.
And my contempt for the pensioner style delivery of Akon is immeasurable.

You do have to remember Beyonce and Mr Z were dating so it kinda makes sense in this scenario, plus I'd have to say that he's alot better then majority of todays chart rappers.

Well in the case of Crazy In Love it kinda makes since considering Beyonce and Mr. Z were dating, plus there are alot of worse rappers out there then Jay-Z. But I understand that 98% of the time this technique (if we can even call it that) doesn't work.
