We've all encountered songs in games that were either amazing, ok, or bad.

I've heard some that weren't all that great, of course, but very few have been flat out terrible. There was only one for that.

I don't remember what it was called but the song that played during the credits in Metal Gear Solid 2. That almost made my ears bleed. x_x I ended up muting the TV while the credits rolled and I think that's the only one I've ever muted before.

What about you? What was the worst song you've heard in a game (for whatever reason)?

The song during the credits of MGS4, I've never had to mute my TV at credits before.

Also, Griggs' rap at the end of Modern Warfare 1.

Haha, I had a feeling "Eyes on Me" and "Here's To You" would be mentioned. xD

The opening song from MGS3: I'm sure the words worked fine in Japanese, but christ, the lyrics sounded utterly stupid. 'Some daaaaay, you walk through the raaaain, some dayyyy you feast on a tree froooog...'

Oh, and also, technically not credits but in the middle of Dragon Age when Leliana randomly starts singing in a foreign language in an extremely badly lip synched kind of way. Has the opposite effect of the drama it's meant to do.

The FFX-2's feature songs. I guess if you're into pop it's fine, but it basically had every element of music that I hate. I don't remember the end song, but the opening one was just cringe worthy.

Eyes on Me (I think) from Final Fantasy 8. I despise that song.
Somewhat agreed. I normally enjoy rather sentimental songs like that in RPG's, but the glurge was too much even for me.

Waaaaay back in 1984 there was a game on the SC-3000 called Caverns of Karanor. I spent months trying to beat it. One day I finally did it and a screen came up that said 'Well Done'. Five seconds later it reset to the title screen. Literally, five seconds. 'Well done'. No music. Worst. Credits. Ever.

Well, this is a featured musical bit and not really a theme song or credits song, but Leliana's song she 'sings' at camp in an in-engine cut scene in DA:O is truly truly horrific. Combination of the over-production of the music, the poorly synched lips, the pointless gesturing and animations, and the overly-earnest attempt to make it 'epic'. Singularly noticeable fail on the part of Bioware there, I thought they knew better. Keep it classy, guys.

It would have been much better if they had kept the tune simple and rustic, limited post-production, and made no attempt at backing swells and sound effects (actually, that's also the problem with Glee). That still wouldn't have fixed the rest of the problems, but, yeah...
