Making a arbitrary, and completely unnecessary book series out of it."Bioshock" Coincidently they ruined my favorite book serious by CONTINUING it. "Hitchhikers"
Don't forget *shudder* kingdom of the crystal skull.BlindMessiah94 said:The worst thing they can do to a franchise is not know when to quit. For Example: Star Wars prequels. Spider-Man 3. Silent Hill Series.
Continue to dribble out crap just because you can is not a good reason.
Yeah that would be scary. As terrifying and depressing as this would be it would be worse. think about all of those Mass Effect fans out there. All those fans making a Mass Effect 3 in 10 years time. Horrifying just thinking about it.hazabaza1 said:Axing Mass Effect 3/ making Mass Effect 3 suck.
I would be raging.
Number one: Tolkien had a way with words that most men cannot even dream of having. I'm assuming that you have never actually tried reading the book, because everyone who has only seen the movies calls the book boring as a cop out to avoid admitting that they're a complete poser.NameIsRobertPaulson said:holy shit, somebody actually read through the 1500 pages of drier than dry sand called The Lords of the Rings Trilogy? Tolkien writes like Ben Stein talks.Anticitizen_Two said:It would suck if some idiot director in Hollywood picked up the greatest work of fiction to ever be written and decided to make it into some ridiculously high budget trilogy of films, hired of bunch of crappy actors, wrote really weak dialogue that tried to sound like the original book but ended up just sounding stupid, completely betrayed the characters and everything they stood for, cut many important scenes in exchange for invented scenes filled with shallow mindless action and sappy love dialogue, and despite this stupid people still actually thought they were amazing movies and they won a bunch of Oscars.
Oh wait... that already happened in 2001, 2002, and 2003...
Wait that's like Friday the 13th without Jason.Furburt said:Evil Dead, without Bruce Campbell.
Seriously, they were thinking of making a remake of the first, without the character of Ash.
Furious fan reaction (Most of it mine) made them axe the project.
When Bruce Campbell dies (which he won't, he is after all Bruce Campbell) Evil Dead dies.
It'd be like a Sci-Fi Shenmuehazabaza1 said:Axing Mass Effect 3
although to be fair RE4 is an awesome gameMr spank said:having them take a major part of the plot out(say zombies for instance) and replacing it with something thats like it but completely different. just like thay did to Resident Evil. i used to love that series so much... when there were zombies!
A shot at George Lucas or are you upset with Mother 3's character design?kaneisfeelingable said:Well you could give the main caracter an annoying aprentice... fuck you Lucas
Well considering its only 2 or 3 voice actors anyway, if it was a silly "iv'e had it with these muthaf*****g snakes" type of voice then if they kept the explatives in i think that would be greatT3h Merc said:For Elder Scrolls, Samuel L. Jackson does every voice.

Actually since they actually have been released i would say they are very much "real" if it's more a complaint about them ditching random battles, wasn't it about time they did something new? the open world awesome of XII made up for the giant corridor that X was.NameIsRobertPaulson said:XII and XIII are not real Final Fantasys!
well Sega's proved time and time again that Sonic games can always get worse
so the worst has happened to that franchise (hopefully)
There's also Take an RPG and try and turn it into a 2d platformer and mess both up
or the Create a series with heaps of interesting weapons and allow the player to change weapon mid-combo, then for the 4th game give the player the one weapon set for the whole game
tl;dr : wall of text
Beaten to it.steeltrain said:If Silent Hill were to be taken from the original developers and given to a group of talent-less hacks!......wait a second........
I second this, especially since square wants to make its games a bit more western. I understand they mix up the turn based thing so it does not get old and I respect that but lets hope they don't go too far.Space Spoons said:I would hate to see Final Fantasy ditch what's left of the turn-based system for an all-out "action-RPG" style of combat in the vein of Kingdom Hearts. It's not that it's an inherently bad system or anything, it just feels wrong in the context of Final Fantasy. I voice this concern mainly because with each successive game, Square seems to move closer to this style of combat. Here's hoping it won't get any worse.
