Worst time to reload ever

There have been so many times that I have been fighting a boss or been in an intense firefight and had to reload. This breaks up gameplay at in the best situation or ends up with you having to start the level over again at the worst.

One example was the time when I was playing the old Ghost Recon, was storming what can best be described as a desert fortress with a bunch of terrorists in it. I thought I had a full clip and charged in learning that I only had one bullet and immediately had to reload, consequently having every terrorist in the fort shoot me multiple times. Another was while playing Republic Commando. I was holding the bridge of the ship, charged at a Transdosian merc and etc. you get my drift.

Anyways, share stories of your "worst time to reload ever" moments.

In Farcry2 when a truck is about to land on you after doing 3 hours of work and you have no buddies to save you and that save is that only quicksave there.

6 HP left, no armor, in the middle of a square and enemies shooting at me from all directions. and my speedboost just had 2 seconds left and no cover or healthpack in sight.

Took me a while to get out of that one

I always make sure after every kill I have a full mag. There have been too many times that ive been caught with 2 or 3 rounds in a mag, and ran into a room full of guys.

i have to reload after every shot, so shooting a claymore in MW2 and reloading while the guy realises his claymore has been shot and kills me, thats kinda silly.

Reloading right after a kill is one of the worst times to reload. Just wait a second or two to make sure he didn't have any buddies around.

Sprinting around a corner with your MP5 to find 3 enemies running towards you. You stop sprinting, ready to get your triple spray, begin to fire....

....And start reloading after 2 shots.

When I drop an enemy in Black Ops, decide to reload rather than risk going into a firefight with a half mag, and get pasted by his buddy 3 sec behind him (happens at LEAST twice a round)

I'd have to say playing tons of Counterstrike (pre-steam) forced me to develop Chronic Reload Syndrome. A shot to turn off a light? Reload. My finger slipped on the trigger? Reload. A single burst to kill an AFK enemy? Reload. Is that a corner up ahead? Reload.

So as a previous poster has said, when I kill one guy just to get shot by the next as I reload? Yeah, that happens constantly.

I think it was the worst in Swat 4, (or a similar game at the time... the first Rainbow Six maybe?) because I think when you reloaded while running you just dropped the half-empty clip. The overall result was no more rounds halfway through the map. Period. And you'd have to rely on dumb-as-poop AI to get through the rest.
