Worst times for an autosave?

Ah... well. Half Life 2 and episodes

Huh. Never had a problem with my runs. One of the few game series I never had to quicksave.

I don't have the console version, so my fails are badly timed autosaves/my saving.

But yeah, I got my ass handed to me many times... OH. The last Strider battle in episode 2, that's the one I was forgetting! The saving failed so badly then <_<

In Call of Juarez, I accidently quicksaved whilst on a horse, sliding off of the edge of the cliff. Eventually, I found a way to dismount, just before my ride fell over. This meant seeing my horse hilariously tumble to his death whilst I was fine. Sure it is cruel, but that is what the game gets when forbids (and actually prevents you) from corpse bashing, or even beating helpless animals.

Oh yeah. But those hunters, man... I had to just screw it and turn on the God Mode cheat, I kept dying. I'm wondering what spectacularly stupid deaths await me in Half Life one when I get it. (Yay birthday money )

Had a lovely time in Wolfenstein (the most recent one) saved on me with enemies firing in every direction and i'm in the middle of reloading my damn gun after dying 50 million times i just deleted that data and started the whole thing over

In Halo 3, one of the NPC's drove off an edge where it autosaved. I had to get off, let my mates die and travel on foot.

Fallout 3: Anchorage, the game autosaved me right when I was confronting the final guy, and for some reason the game crashed. Tried to reload the guy wouldn't talk again and I was stuck just staring at him, couldn't move or anything, I just kept reloading over and over until miraculously it worked.

Recently, in Bad Company (The first one, hooray for EB's used game sales)

That mission where you gotta fly the Golden Hind. I had just blown up the boats, landed the bird on an island and got out to repair it.

The thing slid into the river, and apparently gold rusts EXTREMELY fast. Bird explodes, mission failed, load checkpoint.

Checkpoint loads, bird's already dead, mission failed, load checkpoint.

Fallout 3, enetred a room and was on low health and got killed, it autosaves me entering the room, so i get killed every time i loaded that autosave, I got so pissed off i found a cheat that made me invincable and that fixed my problem, But cheats are gay, lol

fallout 3 i had for a very long time had biogas canisters thrown all over my tenpenny house to get that foggy look then i accidently walked in with the shiskabab out and they all lit up and it autosaved me into the blaze making my biogas fog to be no more =(

Fallout 3 I fast traveled away from vault 87 only to die when I arrived and it did this like five times before I stopped laughing

Wizardry 8 doesn't let you save games in the middle of a battle. Thus, every so often after a really long battle, if you lose, the game will autosave in the split second between your death and the game over screen.

My friend let go of the bridge crank in the African village in RE5 and it autosaved with me falling into the pit over and over again.
