DeadRising 1, Infinite mode, time survived so far: 6 days, 20 hours, 24 minutes... All was going fine, the barricade was holding, and I had plenty of food, and then, black screen. I woke up with only half of my controller in my hand, the other half has yet to be found.

What I take from this is "Before I had any chance of saving, dammit!", which I concur with.

The thing is, there is no saving on infinite mode. I was about 13 hours into the nessecary 14 hours for the 7 day achievment.

So I've been told. Nevertheless, I was using yours as a segue into mine. I didn't mean to belittle it.

Installing windows in a second partition. My MBR got fried and I lost some data during the repair.
I was not happy that day.

The LAST time the power went out, we realized exactly how BLACK the new house gets when without electricity, and we now have flashlights available from most of the rooms.

The time before, we were in a hurricane... and now we have a son. (what can I say, the easiest way to pass the time through the storm can be fun)

OT: The WORST time I've had a power outtage was during the last day of a report being due in highschool. Power goes out, I (and a dozen or so others) can't print our papers, and we all get [Incomplete]s... and with the coach as our substitute, so we had no support/backup with our objection(s).
SONUVABUGGERALL... (I had to pull off a good grade on the next 10-15 papers to get out from under that one f*cked up grade.)

Almost beat the end Boss to Ninja Gaiden 2 when my power was turned off at 6am. I was so pissed beyond words. I never played it again sense I assumed it was the will of God that I was never meant to beat it. It still haunts me to this day... what could have been.

Most of my stuff is hooked up to my UPS, so, only my internet dies. And my condo building has a generator, but it does bring the place down to half power, so my wireless router was on, but the connection to the internet died, all the lights dimmed, stuff like that.
