If you want my opinion, my old gamertag on Xbox Live was "Ur Dadz Peniz" in which case all I did was play halo 3 and immaturely laugh at how others were seeing "Ur Dadz Peniz beat you down, Ur Dadz Peniz stuck you" etc etc.

And yes I hate any name in which a person has to use X's or 1337.

That, to me, shows a lack of creativity and that while they try to sound badass, they end up sucking at whatever they are playing. Honestly, in ANY FPS I have ever played online, anyone with the word "sniper" in their gamertag sucked at sniping. Now, I don't play every game on every console, so there are probably exceptions, but in my experience, that is my rule of thumb.

Pretty much this, although you forgot "elite" and "death". I think all bad user names can be summed up by these words.

Ahh yeah, I knew I was forgetting a few. My friend and I had a conversation about bad gamertags a year or two back while playing Resistance: Fall of Man online. We essentially proved that the whole list I posted, plus "elite" and "death", and any type of "xxXXxx" combination of any sort, were the proper ingredients for someone who was bad at first person shooters.
