Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game was awesome, but it would have been just as awesome had I rented the thing and beaten it. As it is I haven't touched it since I beat it and collected most of the Riddler puzzles.

Lost Planet, not worth the rental. Dragon Age: Origins for being the worst Bioware game I've ever played and paying full retail for it. I usually get games used at a local retailer who holds a seven day full-refund return policy meaning that I don't pay for bad games, except when they look amazing and I buy them opening day.

There was a public demo for that, you had no excuse to buy that one.

Earth 2160.

I'd played a demo of a prequel and presumed the sequel would have similar customisation, building units from the treads up, moving the earth above and beneath ground and all that stuff.
I played it for one evening and gave up in disgust at just how poorly balanced and though out it was. Then I reinstalled it because I couldn't believe how bad it was, re-affirmed that the aliens were completely unbeatable and that the entire thing was even more of a waste of time than my first impressions had indicated and burned the box.

FarCry 2. I paid £30 for it and feel utterly ashamed. What a steaming mound of poo it is. I have tried struggling on with it but it feels like such a chore. Games should be fun, not a chore. On the other side of things I got Full Auto for £5 and for that money it was a right laugh.

59 Euro for Command & Conquer 4.

If I had a friend on multiplayer I would have breezed through that game in literally less than 6 hours. Short as hell, clumsy as hell and just utterly putrid in singleplayer. Its only purpose is multiplayer e-peen growing.

Sonic Unleashed
Bought it for my 11 year old son 'cause he's a Sonic fan.
Took it back because even he thought it sucked.

Force Unleashed. Combat was sluggish, too many quick time events [small](something I don't usually mind unless there are too many)[/small], and it was too short for a game that was $60. Oh, well.

Not me, but my father bought E.T. for the Atari 2600. He tried to take it back later that same day because it was that bad. He had to wait in line.

Apologies Abound

I would say Final Fantasy XIII, since I actually paid full price on it, but then I traded it to someone for God of War III. That game is totally worth $60.
