There isn't really good ways to break up with someone, unfortunately. I broke up with my ex, as best I could, and she was still hurt pretty badly. The least you could do is break up in person, and for reasons that don't have to do with secret affairs or sleazy crap. Even without the additional drama, it's painful.

But it's worse not to break up when you need to. The longer you wait, it's always worse.

Id say the worst way would be to get a new boy/girlfriend then go to your old one's house, when she answers the door you start making out with your new boy/girl...after a bout 2 minutes of shocked silence just stop and say "get the idea?" then leave and never return.
